It seems to me that there have been a lot of new products and changes in the chocolate business over the last year. Chocolate companies seem more and more determined to make more and more money, and make themselves even more popular. I was anything but surprised, when Smarties brought out their chocolate bar, with Cadbury’s Dairy Milk bringing out another chocolate bar, and adding a different taste to their range, it was surely going to happen to most of the chocolates at the end of the day! When this came out I was somewhat wary of what it would taste like. It was a bit like Cadbury with smarties in a way. I liked both, but would I like them ... Read the complete review

I love Smarties; I have fond memories as a child of getting the now-outlawed cylindrical tubes and chugging almost the entire thing down my throat in search of that epic sugar rush. I was startled upon seeing that Smarties had sought to branch out with a chocolate bar version of their beloved finger food, and while it doesn't really innovate in terms of taste, texture or form, it is just as tasty as the sweet we all know and love! This is a bar that's incredibly simple to grasp: it's a regular, if rather tasty, bar of chocolate that has Smarties peppered inside it. Q:What do you get when you cross a pack of smarties and some milk chocolate? A: the smarties chocolate bar. So, the Smarties Chocolate bar is basically what is described above. Nestle milk chocolate which has smarties mixed in with it. Smarties chocolate was first introduced only around 4 years ago despite the brand Smarties being around for ages. Since then, I have noticed that it is showing up in less and less stores which is a real shame. In fact, the only place I can find it now is Farm Foods. And thats only in big packs... Taste --------- The taste of the smarties chocolate bar is truly outstanding. It is by far my ... Read the complete review

Like all kids in the Universe, my daughter Gemma can?t go past a shop without begging to go in to buy a bag of sweets of some sort. Although I am cautious about buying too many sweets for her, as she gets plenty from other sources, like grandparents and friends, I must admit that she can display that look on her face that would melt the Antarctic, so I always end up giving in. While in Woolworth?s buying yet another birthday present for another birthday party, there seems to be a spate of them in February alone, we happened to pass the sweetie display. Gemma of course, had now forgotten our reason for being there, and ran straight over to the shelves with eyes ... Read the complete review

Chocolate - Hurrah! Smarties - Hurrah! Smarties Chocolate - a novelty! I'm convinced the manufacturers have an agenda, I can imagine them at their briefing meetings. Chap A - I've got this great new idea, chocolate filled with caramel and... Chap B - Nah, been done, lets get some coconut... Chap C - Something completely new.... Boss - Bugger that lads, too much cost, we've got Smarties, we've got chocolate, bung one in the other and promote it as new. They'll all fall for it. And on it goes..Personally I'm waiting for the Cadburys with Buttons in it, but I wont hold my breath on that one! On to the one in question. The ... Read the complete review
