Advantages: Lovely taste , lovely packaging!
Disadvantages: Too many = barf!!
It seems to me that there have been a lot of new products and changes in the chocolate business over the last year. Chocolate companies seem more and more determined to make more and more money, and make themselves even more popular. I was anything but surprised, when Smarties brought out their chocolate bar, with Cadbury’s Dairy Milk bringing out another chocolate bar, and adding a different taste to their range, it was surely going to happen to most of the chocolates at the end of the day! When this came out I was somewhat wary of what it would taste like. It was a bit like Cadbury with smarties in a way. I liked both, but would I like them together? Well, I did! In fact I loved them. With a lovely taste, good price, fantastic quantity, nice packaging, cool make, it’s something I’ll be going back to the shops to buy over and over and over again and again!! **The taste** Well, I was hoping it wouldn’t be a melt in your mouth feel – like Galaxy – but at the same time I didn’t want it to be totally hard in your mouth (watch it!!) – like Black Magic. So, I was thrilled to find it was in the middle of the two! I was shocked to find that the smarties inside were actually full. For some silly and stupid reason, I though they would be chopped up inside and not full. Don’t ask me why, but you know how stupid I am. The two chocolates compliment each other. It’s like taking a mouthful of smarties, whilst eating a Cadbury’s dairy milk. It’s sweet, it’s nice, and it’s heaven on earth people! The smarties are no different to them in the tube, and don’t expect them to be any more/less nice than they were. The chocolate outside is anything but sickly, and although is Nestle, it has a nice and rich taste, and certainly isn’t cheap tasting; anything but. The two chocolates work together to keep you hooked on
the chocolate and keep you coming back for more and more! You’ll make the shopkeeper a millionaire I tell you! **The Smell** Sometimes I find it rather worthless to add the information of the smell of a chocolate in a review. It’s not crucial, and sometimes not even relevant. But here, the smell of it is what makes it eve more like heaven. I have found very little chocolates that are strong in smell, and really give you an idea of what is in store for you. But in this, you will certainly be able to smell the tow chocolates and it will give you a total urge to eat it right there and then before buying it! The smell is very sweet, and has a very Easter egg feel to it. You know, when you wake up on Easter morning, and have the egg’s waiting for you, well that’s what it’s like. But, watch out! With these sort of one’s, they’ll get you hooked, and you’ll want more and more. You’ll be nabbing ‘em before you know it. And even the little old lady in front of you will, too. Oh yes, don’t let the blue rinse and stone anorak fool you; they’re capable of anything in front of these! **The Packaging** I love the smarites tube! It’s so colourful, eye-catching and cool, and I feel it’s a real big shame it’s in a tube, because it doesn’t give it the justice it absolutely deserves! So, I was glad to see they didn’t change the packaging here, and kept the same, and gave it to us in foil, and in a wrapper, where we can see it perfectly clear and totally well! It’s totally eye-catching, I feel, and because the bar is bigger, it has a wider area, and you really do get a chance to see it for once. Smarties, I love your wrapping, and I’m so glad that it’s been brought out of that tube, and can know be seen (Oh god, how sad am I?!) **The Price** Well, I was shocked to see th
at smarties was charging us 40p for the new bar. How could they do this, when most others are 30p? Well, all was explained to me afterwards! Well, you know when you eat a bar of chocolate that has six pieces? And you know the feeling that you want more and more, and even more? Well, with this you don’t feel that afterwards, because this comes in 8 pieces. Oh yes, I did say EIGHT pieces! So, you won’t be going hungry!! I think it’s a good price, because it is new, and it was a pretty popular chocolate before hand, and you do seem to get a lot more in it than most chocolate bars tend to give. **My Opinion** I wasn’t that chuffed Smarties was bringing another special offer out, and bringing something else to add to the ever-growing shelf in the petrol station! And in honesty, at the time I couldn’t care less they had brought out a new bar, for my liking they could keep it! But, now I’ve tried it, I do tend to like it! I really love it, in fact, and it’s a big change, because I haven’t tasted chocolate like it before, and I love smarties, so it’s a lovely combination. It’s like eating 2 chocolates in one really, because it’s like the non-smarties chocolate is supposed to be sold separately, and that smarties have fallen into the machinery by mistake! I’ll tell you one thing, though, it’s the best mistake, as the adorable chocolate really goes well with the smarties, and not only does it get you hooked big style, you enjoy it afterwards. But a disadvantage, like most chocolates, after 90 bars later, you go sick. Vomit. Puke. Whatever you want to call it’s disgusting, but sadly it happens after them, take my word for it! Maybe not physically, but you feel you will, and you say to yourself “If I only I’d left that last one, I wouldn’t be leaning over a toilet seat now!” **All in all
** A great new chocolate and it goes to show first impressions aren’t always right at all! Look at Shane Ritchie! A perfect chocolate, with tow great combinations. I’m so glad they made 2 into 1!! Written By: Matt Roberts.
