Nestle Smarties are a fun chocolate that come in a tube, they are a treat for both young and old as they come in many fun colours! Look I always used to remember Smarties coming in cylindrical tubes but now they have changed that, which is a shame as it makes them slightly less nostalgic. The new Smarties tube is hexagonal and modern looking on the front of the tube you have the Smarties lettering which is written in a fun font which looks like it has been just slapped on to the pack. The font is outlined with a brown colour, I suppose to represent the all the chocolatey-ness! The rest of the pack is the traditional Smarties blue and covered in pictures ... History of Smarties, Smarties have always been around as far as I can remember, from a very small child I recall being given a tube of Smarties. I recall as a small child popping the lid and then spilling all the Smarties on the floor. How things have changed since the early 1990. Packaging I think the nestles have done so well here to squeeze all the relevant information on to the small box, ok the main shape has changed has its now a hexagonal shape which means no more rolling of the table which is a real shame. The box is very attractive with good selection of vibrant colours and lots of nutritional information. I have to add that I ... Read the complete review

The rather splendid Easter egg which I was presented with, was of the Nestle Smartie variety, and in being so it was therefore filled with two of the new funky shaped packets of Smarties. It had been a while since my taste buds had been tingled by the small crispy beans of chocolate, and in fact it had been as equally long since I'd even seen them around. The packaging although now of a hexagonal nature, was none too different from the one's I used to purchase some years ago. It did however have one added ingredient, a bold set of lettering declaring that the BLUE Smartie was back. I can vaguely recall it's disappearance some while back, but put little significance on ... Nestle Smarties have been around for a very long time - as far back as 1937 to be precise when they were then known as 'Chocolate beans'. Since then they have changed and adapted to suit customer needs but the fact is that they are still one of the most popular chocolate sweets in the UK and remain to this day a favourite for children and adults alike! What are they: Well Smarties are know as 'chocolate sweets' as they are chocolate on the inside but have a candy sugar shell on the outside. The chocolate is milk chocolate inside except for the orange one which are flavoured orange, and the shell is always one of 8 colours. The size of the Smartie is a mere 1cm. ...
