... as it sounded like an odd combination however I instantly fell in love with them. When you open the packet the smell of vinegar greets you. Each little kernel of pale popcorn is perfectly popped and has a lovely squeaky, chewy and slightly crispy texture. The salt and vinegar flavour is pretty strong, the vinegar nice and sour and tangy without overwhelming the delicate taste of the popcorn. I'm not quite sure how they add the flavour as there is no powdery coating like there is on crisps but however it is achieved i...more

Premium Review Snack a Jacks Salt and Vinegar Popcorn: A quick low calorie popcorn snack (619 words)

My husband picked up a multi-pack of Snack a Jacks Popcorn a couple of weeks ago during a trip to the supermarket. We are all a bit addicted to snacking in our house, although I feel like I'm permanently on a diet, so we tend to have a few lower-fat snacks around. Obviously my intentions are to snack on healthy things like fruit and carrot sticks, but the reality is that I'm much more likely to reach for a bag of crisps. We usually buy Walkers Baked as they are not 'too' bad in terms of fat and calories, but Snack and Jacks Popcorn provides an even lower calorie solution to my snacking problem. ** Packaging ** We bought the Salt and Vinegar flavour which ...  Read the complete review

If you've read my recent review about Popcorn, then you should know that I love it. I can't quite eat it by the bucketload since i'm on a diet, but I can still enjoy it on my diet, since it is alright for you. Quakers launched it's Popcorn through it's Snack a Jack range. The Popcorn flavours you get are Caramel, Chocolate Toffee and Salt and Vinegar. I didn't know it was Salt and Vinegar when I picked the bag up, just assumed it was salted, as i'm sure you used to get Salted flavour. I got home and thought "eeww", as Salt and Vinegar Popcorn sounded a bit odd. You can only buy these bags in a 6 pack that I have seen. In Asda they cost ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Snack a Jacks Salt and Vinegar Popcorn: sinful snack from Jack without the guilt (687 words)

I have rekindled my love of popcorn recently and can hand on heart blame this site for my purchase of this product. I have been having a real good look at my recent weight gain and can no doubt say that chocolate bars and bourbon biscuits are solely responsible for my flabby over hanging pouch that is creeping or should that be spilling over the top of my jeans. So out comes my need to fill up on non calorie ridden snacks. I decided to type popcorn into the search box and low and behold snack a jacks salt and vinegar popcorn was amongst some of the results. During my trip to Tesco today I thought I would take a wander down the biscuit aisle and see if they ...  Read the complete review

I for one love popcorn especially for when I'm sitting around watching tv sop I have tried quite a lot of different types. Snack a Jacks Salt and Vinegar Popcorn however was not one of my favourites. Salt & Vingear is a slightly unsual flavour for Popcorn to be as it is normally just buttered or salted but I thought I'd give it a try as change is a good thing. This company also makes a lightly salted flavour, a toffee one and this one so there is quite a range to chose from. Snack A Jacks are of course famous for their rice cakes which I really enjoy and so when I bout these I thought that they would be really nice. They come in a 13g packet which is ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Snack a Jacks Salt and Vinegar Popcorn: Pop, Pop, Pop (434 words)

I like popcorn and a great product that can be found in the pop corn world are the Snack-a-Jacks Pop Corn snacks. Snack-a-Jacks themselves have quite a range of different products which I will mention at the end of this review but the one I am going to focus on are the pop corn snacks. Basically they are little pop corn kernels, already popped and ready to eat. What's nice about these is that they come in handy packs, just like crisp packets so if you are looking for a packet of crisps but fancy something different then these are a nice change. It's almost like eating crisps because they are in bite size pieces. The packet itself is foil ...  Read the complete review
