In the olden days when things were so much more black and white, and there was not nearly as much choice especially in the confectionery department, these bars were called Marathon's. God only knows why they decided to change the name, but they did kind of set a trend. Since Snickers changed from Marathon so did Opal fruits to Starburst, fortunately in both cases the product remained unaltered. I'm not an old foggy who believes that things should not change, but I also feel that don't fix it if it ain't broken. This is the only chocolate bar that I still buy if I’m hungry whilst out and about and there’s nothing else to eat. It’s the only sweet that I’ll buy from an office vending machine when I‘ve forgotten to take my pack lunch to work. The snack of last resort. I choose a Snickers because it’s usually the only one that’ll fill me up and keep me going - Crisps are a waste of time, normal chocolate bars just leave you even hungrier an hour later and a Mars bar just won‘t do it despite claims to the contrary. Snickers is a chocolate bar. It is made from peanut butter nougat, on top of this goes roasted peanuts and caramel. The toppings are held in place by a thick layer of milk chocolate. I don't eat chocolate often. When I do Snickers Bar is one I eat most. Combination of the layers mentioned makes it a tasty snack. Some facts about Snickers bar.
