Snickers Bar

Description: Chocolate bar containing chocolate, nougart, roasted peanuts and caramel.

... good base for the stronger caramel and peanut flavours. The peanuts themselves taste quite strong, and almost overpower the other flavours, but when in combination, this is a very pleasing sweet to eat. The inclusion of the nuts gives the bar a good mix of textures, but since they only seem to use broken peanuts they do have a slight tendency to stick in your teeth. The crunchy texture provided by them nicely offsets the chewy nature of the nougat and caramel, and the whole thing is rounded off with the tasty galaxy choc...more

Premium Review Snickers Bar: Nutty Confection (510 words)

In the olden days when things were so much more black and white, and there was not nearly as much choice especially in the confectionery department, these bars were called Marathon's. God only knows why they decided to change the name, but they did kind of set a trend. Since Snickers changed from Marathon so did Opal fruits to Starburst, fortunately in both cases the product remained unaltered. I'm not an old foggy who believes that things should not change, but I also feel that don't fix it if it ain't broken. The long bar perhaps 5 inches in length has changed little over my period of consumption which spans many a year. It still has that ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Snickering (575 words)

This is the only chocolate bar that I still buy if I'm hungry whilst out and about and there's nothing else to eat. It's the only sweet that I'll buy from an office vending machine when I've forgotten to take my pack lunch to work. The snack of last resort. I choose a Snickers because it's usually the only one that'll fill me up and keep me going - Crisps are a waste of time, normal chocolate bars just leave you even hungrier an hour later and a Mars bar just won't do it despite claims to the contrary. The 'feeling full' effect is probably due to the fact that more than a quarter of this bar made up of fat (28g per 100g). I like to think that a Snickers bar is a ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Snickers Bar: Very very tasty. (173 words)

Snickers is a chocolate bar. It is made from peanut butter nougat, on top of this goes roasted peanuts and caramel. The toppings are held in place by a thick layer of milk chocolate. I don't eat chocolate often. When I do Snickers Bar is one I eat most. Combination of the layers mentioned makes it a tasty snack. Some facts about Snickers bar. It was second chocolate introduced by Frank and Ethel Mars. It first hit the streets in 1929 and it was named after the family horse. Strictly speaking I wouldn't recommend Snickers. It has too many calories and is unhealthy for all of us. If you are not health conscious like me I would ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Snickers Bar: Not Marathon anymore (160 words)

It is nice to think that with the new reward system you can review a chocolate bar and actually earn enough to buy another one. I can remember when Snickers was known as Marathon and the name was changed so that it was called the same as in the USA. It costs between 40 pence and 50 pence in most shops for a normal bar and can be bought in multi packs as well. For me this is very much like a Mars bar but with added peanuts, basically it has milk chocolate on the outside and inside you have a nougat filling topped off with caramel and stuffed full of lovely peanuts. It has a sweet and lovely taste and is rather addictive. There is a nice ...  Read the complete review
