Advantages: Very tasty

Disadvantages: Unhealthy

A Snickers is a chocolate bar produced by the Mars company. It consists of a chocolate outer shell, with a roasted peanut and caramel middle with a peanut butter nougat base. It was originally sold as a "Marathon Bar" in the UK until 1990 when it changed to Snickers as it was known throughout the rest of the world.

Snickers is one of my favourite chocolate bars and in my opinon one of the tastiest. I usually prefer it when I'm hungry to other bars and it does feel like a substatial snack, and that you are getting some energy from it. It is a great cure for hunger!

The Snickers bars do taste mostly of peanuts, which is obviouly something to avoid if you are allergic or dont like the taste. The real pieces of peanut are nice although can sometimes get stuff in your teeth!

They cost about 30-45p each although can be bought in multipacks of 6 bars for around about £1.50. Being a chocolate bar, these are obviously not very healthy and contain 271 calories in each bar, and 13.6g of fat. This is 21% if your recommended daily allowance of fat, so not really something to eat all the time, but as a treat every now and then just fine! I would also recommend to people needing a quick burst of enery (runners etc) as snickers are a good source!

Summary: I love Snickers!

The ads always seem to imply this'll fill you up if you're in a hurry and skip a meal but all it does is make me want more. =\
