Advantages: Tasty, unique texture, can be incorporated in to cooking recipes for a unique treat

Disadvantages: Peanuts, fattening

The snickers chocolate bar was first introduced in 1930. Made by the Mars company, the snickers was named after the family behind the corporations favourite horse. To date the snickers bar is the best selling chocolate bar in the world. Upon its launch in the UK and Ireland the snickers bar was originally named Marathon bar, but in 1990 the snack was renamed snickers, as it was already known in the USA.

Snickers was the second product to be launched after the earlier Mars bar. Where snickers differs from the Mars bar is the inclusion of nuts in the recipe. Snickers contains milk chocolate, peanuts, glucose, corn syrup, milk fat, butter, skimmed milk and egg whites. The nuts mixed with the other ingredients make for a delicious mix of textures and flavours when eating snickers. The peanuts give snickers a very unusual and enjoyable texture in your mouth, but this is both a blessing and a curse as this means snickers is not appropriate for people with a nut allergy. They don't know what they're missing if you ask me, cause snickers are absolutely delicious. The textures and flavours mingle beautifully to create an utterly orgasmic snacking experience.

Each snickers bar weighs approximately 57g and contains 266 calories, making it one of those snacks that is best enjoyed occasionally. You can buy a snickers for around 50p in most shops and they're still as tasty now as ever, so what are you waiting for? Go buy it.

Summary: A reallly tasty snack, to be enjoyed occasionally

I am surprised. I hadn't realized it was the most popular chocolate bar in the World.
