Advantages: Taste yummy and chocolately, filling, satisfying, have loads of nuts
Disadvantages: Give me a bad toothache sometimes, fattening
These used to be called Marathon bars years ago and i have been eating them since i have been a child. They are now called Snickers bars and are a really filling satisfying bar of chocolate.
I love nuts so if i fancy something nutty, i will always opt for a Snickers bar first. Snickers are the best selling chocolate bar of all time and are suitable for vegetarians.
The bar itself consists of peanut butter, nougat, toasted peanuts and caramel. This is covered in a lovely rich thick layer of milk chocolate.
Although i love these bars of chocolate and they are really moreish, i find that i can get a bad toothache when i eat one so they must be quite sugary.
A Snickers bar comes in a very boring brown wrapper and if i had never eaten one before, i would probably not notice it on the shelf and just walk past it.
It has a very nutty taste to it and is very appetising and fills me up for a while until i get a proper meal to eat. I bought a multipack of Snickers bars for £1 for 5 in my local shop. They were on offer and i think this is a great price.
The bar has been around 1930 so is a real oldie but a goodie. Snickers have no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives so are maybe a good choice.
They are though quite a fattening choice as a bar has a whopping 296 Calories and 6.4 grams of saturated fat. If you are on a diet or trying to lose a bit of weight, you should maybe avoid these.
Overall, i think Snickers are a very appetising tasty bars of chocolate and are best eaten as an occassional treat. Recommended!
Summary: Try one
