... am not a particularly sweet toothed girl, I much prefer a nice sausage roll or crisps to chocolate but when it comes to ice cream Ben & Jerry s Half Baked is the one for me being a perfect combination of two gorgeous flavours. Other Sorbets and Ice Creams ... are fantastic alternatives to ice cream. They re healthier and more refreshing to eat I find and they really are quite easy to prepare and make. Of course you can buy them in supermarkets, but I personally prefer to make homemade ones as first of all, it s cheaper, secondly, I may as well make use of my ice cream maker, and last of all, you ll know exactly what you put in it! Sorbets usually consist of pureed fruits, sugar, water, lemon juices and glucose syrup. You can of course use store bought fruit juice instead of pureed fruits, but makes it a bit too icy and I find that mashing your own fruits gives the sorbet more texture and gives you a genuine fruit tasti... Ben & Jerry's Phish Food ... in my opinion is a really sickly ice cream. its nice as a treat every once in a while. it is chocolate ice cream with marshmallows, caramel and chocolate chunks. it is a really rich rich ice cream. packaging is really bright which makes it stand out in the freezers. the ice cream is quit expensive costing around £4 a tub in the supermarkets and there is not that much in it. in my opinion you can only eat one scoopful of this ice cream before it gets too sickly. it is a popular snack to have at the cinema where they sell small medium and large tubs. the cinema also sells it in milkshake form which is a nice treat however it is again really sickly. other ben and jerry... Ben & Jerry's Phish Food ... was a little put off by the name of Phish Food at first as it sounds very unappetising, but I tried it for the first time this week and it was absolutely delicious! I m not a great ice cream lover, but this is certainly now one of my favourite foods and one of the ultimate ice creams out there. The price is high and for the size of the tub you don t get that much. However, the richness of the ice cream does mean that it lasts a decent amount of time, as you need less of it to fill you up. For the extra price, it is definately worth it. This flavour lives up to the excellent standard and quality of Ben and Jerry s ice cream, it certainly doesn t let the name down...
