Advantages: Great taste, healthy, sustaining for physical activities.

Disadvantages: I'd like some other products in the range to be brought out.

'Soreen' is a company specialising in the confectionery market, more importantly sweet loafs and snack bars. I first heard of 'Soreen' quite a number of years ago, but the brand is still going strong and continues to offer great tasting products.

You'll notice from the packaging that this is a fruity loaf, containing raisins and other small pieces of fruit. It's vibrant packaging works well on attracting the eye and ensuring that you pick up a loaf of goodness. With this product being 'bread' like, it's important that the loaf remains refresh, and the packaging ensures this, just pop it in your bread bin as an additional precaution to make sure it lasts longer.

You can buy this loaf pre-sliced, which I tend to prefer, it means you don't have to faff around cutting the loaf, which is pretty sticky, and in all honesty very hard to cut. With it being a very sticky and squidgy texture you'll find you knife gets stuck to the loaf, making it incredibly hard to slice, so cut this hassle out so you can enjoy the loaf for what it is, by buying it pre-sliced.

The load tastes sweet, and very fruity. Topped off with a bit of this butter, the load goes down a treat, whether it's for an afternoon snack, as part of your morning breakfast, or maybe part of your lunch. It's heavy nature means that you feel like you've had a substantial piece without needing two or three, making it last much longer and ensuring you don't need to diet after eating a slice. It is often eaten by people who are conducting a lot of physical exercise because it's high in carbohydrates - being a bread it would be.

For those that are interested in it's nutritional information, it contains just 2.0g of fat per 100g and 320 calories. The main bulk of the loaf is the carbohydrates up at 65.6g out of 100g. Certainly something that is going to be filling and sustain your energy for a longer period of time.

I've been buying this product off an on for the past several years and it's definitely something I'll continue to buy and would highly recommend, especially for those people conducting a lot of physical activity.

Summary: A great tasting sweet bread from a long standing company.
