Just a small fact before I start dissecting taste and all that, did you know that Tic tacs were called that because you hear a Tic when opening the product and a Tac when you close it (random I know). Now when you pop the mint in your mouth it is quite refreshing (kind of like when you use strong toothpaste) and they have a crunchy outside and a softish inside. The problem with me is that one is never enough, I end up scoffing at least ...more

Premium Review Spearmint Tic Tacs: Are they a mint or a sweet? (375 words)

Now I am confused as to whether these are to be called sweets or mints (I don't consider mints to be sweets you see). These (lets go with mints) mints are in the only packaging I have ever remembered Tic Tacs being in which is a little transparent plastic box. You get around 18 grams in a box and I think around 24 Tic Tacs per box. The nutritional side of it is this:- It states on the box 2 calories per Tic Tac and zero fat although there is around 17.55 grams of Carbs per box. All in all they are a reasonably low fat mint. They do however contain 4 different types of E numbers which are E104, E120, E110 and E133. Just a small fact before I start ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Spearmint: Another brilliant flavour, from Tic Tac (442 words)

For a long time, Tic Tacs have dominated... well the Tic Tac market. Partly because there is nothing else like them but also because the taste is very good. Tic Tacs come in several flavours although for this review I will be focusing on the spearmint version. Not only is the idea different from anything else before it, the packaging is unique too. Its like you have your own mini container just for your tic tacs. The good thing about the box is that it only lets one tic tac out a time meaning that they don't go everywhere. Taste Personally, I think the spearmint edition of Tic Tacs works very well. As you would imagine, the taste of mint is quite ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Spearmint Tic Tacs: Did you just shake your Tic Tacs at me? (335 words)

Tic Tacs are one of those little oddities:they're not a 'sweet', in that they are too small to offer any real sugar rush, and they're very small when thought of as breath mints. They kid of sit outside of the box, but they're still very likeable. The Spearmint Tic Tacs come in a green see-through plastic box, and actually appear to be somewhat medicinal in purpose. Priced at around 50p per box, you can expect to find around 25 Tic Tacs within. Spearmint flavour is the common taste of toothpaste, so again the medicinal feeling of cleanliness pervades these little ones. Being so small, they swish around your mouth, clinking off your teeth and making a ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Discreet mints but only when they are in your mouth. (484 words)

I never knew Tics Tacs came in any other flavour other than the original Fresh Mint but my journey into the unknown has enlightened me whilst researching for this review and logging onto approvedfood.co.uk to find they were selling Spearmint flavour. Obviously I ordered a few packs of this flavour or I wouldn't be writing this review but apparently you can get them in orange, lime, lemon and even cinnamon! There's a whole array of these little beads just waiting to be tasted by my big, fat mouth!! If you don't know already then Tic Tac's are little tiny mints that look like some sort of bug has laid them. There are around 25 mints in a packet. Each Tic Tac ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Spearmint Tic Tacs: Just Tack (270 words)

I love Tic Tacs as they are really addicting and have a cool taste to them. They come in small 18g plastic boxes, which are transparent so you can see through to the weirdly bright green Tic Tacs. There is a label over the top of the box, which has the Tic Tacs logo and the Spearment flavour below. The label covers the top of the box, so you just break it to open it. If you sniff near the box, you can smell a delicious minty spearmint aroma. The smell is really fresh and quite intense. Each Tic Tac is small and oval in shape. They are bright green and I like to eat one or two at a time. I suck them as you get the most out of them this way. They have quite a ...  Read the complete review
