To be honest I'm not a great fan of cereal bars but regularly buy them as my daughters both love them. They are an ideal snack which can be eaten 'on the go' & are therefore ideal for many ages & suit people with many lifestyles. As they're so light & compact they can easily be popped into a pocket, lunchbox, bag etc. I've tried buying cheaper cereal bars but they tend to get left in the cupboard until they're out of date which means I have to pay more for Special K. At the moment (until 27/1) Tesco's have them on offer - 2 boxes of 6 bars for £3 but I'll stock up on the Original as the Apple & Pear ones look like ... Read the complete review

This is a great healthy snack to enjoy in between meals or whenever you need a sweet kick. The bar contains only 90 calories and 2g of fat which is quite a low fat snack for something so tasty. The cheapest I have found them is from Asda, they cost £1.79 for 6 which is just less than 30p a bar. They come in a cardboard pack with a picture of the cereal bar on the front and the apple and pear pieces around the edge. The bars are individually wrapped so perfect to take to work, or put in your bag and eat on the go. When I saw the advert for the Special K cereal bars on television, I went straight online and searched the range. There were some truly scrumptious looking flavours, but the Apple and Pear option seemed to stand out the most. I went hunting for these particular Special K bars and fortunately found them at the first place I tried, priced at £1.79 for six (that's less than 30p a bar!) at Asda. Holding the box in my hand, they seemed more tempting that ever, with a delicious image of the cereal bar on the front.
