Being on Weightwatchers finding foods that are low in points are a must and when my colleague was tucking into these at her desk one day she offered me one to try and at 1 and a half points per pack these are great to eat and grab on the go to get your day off to a good start. *~*Mini Breaks*~* The Special K mini breaks are golden oats, wheat and rice baked into deliciously crunchy, thin biscuity bites. The come in Original flavour and also Chocolate flavour both are pretty tasty and handy to have in the cupboards if you don't have time to have your breakfast at home and need to eat something on the run. The breaks are crunchy, ...  Read the complete review

It was Wednesday night and I was dancing about on the grubby kitchen lino, packing the following day’s lunches under the artificial light. The gloom outside from that hour the clocks went back somehow seemed oppressive and while humming Moby’s “We are all made of stars….” to cheer myself up, I managed to shut my broken fingernail in the cupboard door. I let out a yelp of pain and annoyance and sat down on the kitchen floor. The Boyfriend, without even a backward glance murmured “Yeah…. Try not to hurt yourself…” and returned to Facebook in an unfeeling manner. I was livid and filled with a deep and evil desire for revenge, I seized my moment and my weapon of ...  Read the complete review

I was feeling hungry one day and was looking for a healthy snack. Of course, Special K have a reputation for low-calorie and healthy snacks, so I decided to try Special K Mini Breaks in Chocolate. ~Packaging and Appearance~ Special K Mini Breaks in Chocolate come in little plastic bags (each weigh 25g) and these bags comes in boxes of three. On the front of the box/bag is the trademark red 'K' and 'Special' and 'Mini Breaks' surrounding it. Obviously, like Special K do, they slap a massive '99' on the box to tell you that there are 99 calories a bag, which, I think, is still quite a lot. On the back of the box is igredients and nutritional info (per ...  Read the complete review

I am a huge fan of special k original mini breaks and I have been ever since my friend recommended them to me. I have been trying hard to stick to a weight watchers diet but have been finding it difficult when it comes to snack time. I would usually have a bag of crisps or some cheese when I was feeling peckish but it was doing no good for me points wise. My friend had the same problem till she tried the mini breaks. Special k mini breaks are made from oats, wheat and rice. They are baked into thin crunchy squares. The bites are extremely crunchy and remind me of trying to eat cereal with no milk on crunch wise. The chocolate special k ...  Read the complete review

I don't normally snack on things like cereal bars, but in the quest to be healthy and have less chocolate, I came across these (though in fairness, I only actually bought them as they were on special offer in Tesco!). There are a few different flavours in this range, but I picked the chocolate variety as it seemed to be the most popular flavour by the amount of boxes that were left on the shelf! And attracted by the 99 calories a bag notification on the box, I thought I may as well try them out. They are nice little chocolate flavour crispy biscuit-like snacks which are made of golden oats, wheat and rice. There are about 5 individual bags in a box, so they ...  Read the complete review
