***SPECIAL K RANGE***
I'm sure many of you will have hear about the Special K range which Kellogg's do, and I'm sure some people may have also tried the Special K challenge as well with their cereal. The Special K range includes different cereals, cereal bars in a range of different flavours including Peach & Apricot, Chocolate and more.

***SPECIAL K MINI BREAKS***
I purchased some of these from boots which were in the meal deal. You can also get these from Sainsbury's and Tesco in boxes of 5. I got 2 boxes from Sainsbury's for £3.00 as they were on offer; this was about 1 week ago, so they may still be on offer. The special K Mini Breaks come in different flavours including Original, Chocolate & Lemon. How-ever when I went to Sainsbury they only had the original flavour which is what I am reviewing now.

These Mini breaks are perfect for nibbling and I find that they are a great alternative to crisps. In each bag of Original Mini Breaks are the following:

Protein - 2g
Fat - 2g
Fibre - 0.7g
Salt - 0.2g

Each bag is 24g and has 98 calories which is 5% of your Recommended Daily Allowance.

***PACKAGING/SMELL/APPEARANCE***
These come in a white foil bag with Special K on the front in big letters. It also has a picture of the mini breaks on the front of the packet and lists ingredients and nutritional information on the back of the packet. These are easy to open and when you first take a sniff, they smell quite sweet and remind me of the smell of Hob Nob biscuits. When taking one of these mini breaks out the packet they feel hard and have a rough texture to them. You can see the Oats in these biscuits and they are a golden brown colour and are square in shape.

***TASTE TESTING***
As I put one into my mouth I was expecting something very plain and boring tasting, but I was pleasantly surprised. They are very hard and crunchy but as you keep chewing them they do taste quite sweet. They are quite dry, but not drier than any other biscuits that I have tried before. I also think they taste a bit like Hob Nob biscuits as well which I absolutely love.

You probably get about 8 mini breaks on here altogether and after eating a packet I do feel quite satisfied. If these weren't as sweet as they were I would need a chocolate bar or something sweeter to sort out my cravings but these do the job. These mini breaks have a nice crunch to them and they have a long shelf life which is great if you buy a few boxes when they are on offer.

***OVERALL OPINION***
I bought these 1 week ago and I have had 1 packet a day instead of crisps as I feel these keep me satisfied for longer and I like these because they taste sweet. I would definitely recommend people to try these, but if you don't like oaty biscuits like Hob Knobs you probably won't like these. When I pop to the bigger local Sainsbury's or Tesco I will be picking up the chocolate one's to try as I'm sure these taste even yummier.
