When my mom was first diagnosed with Type Two Diabetes many years ago I helped her to find products with lower sugar values and since she loved jam I had a challenge on my hands for that one! I found a range of spreads made by St Dalfour, which are effectively jams and are available in many different flavours. I have since been diagnosed with Type Two Diabetes so this product is still as useful now as it was then. The spread can be found in the supermarket or health food shop and is on the shelf with the jams and marmalades. The supermarkets usually stock flavours such as strawberry, raspberry, thick cut orange, apricot and blackberry which are ... Read the complete review

Lots of people love jam on a thick slice of toast, don't they? But most people know that jam isn't the healthiest alternative. Most jams are packed with sugar and additives. This means that whilst they are OK as a treat, having jam for breakfast daily is hardly ideal. Before you ditch your jam and toast for good, there is an alternative. St Dalfour All Natural Raspberry Fruit Spread is a healthy spread made from pure fruit, with no added sugar. It contains Raspberries, Unsweetened Grape Juice Concentrate, Lemon Juice, Gelling Agent (Pectin). This spread on warm wholemeal toast makes a great breakfast for all you jam lovers. St. Dalfour is a ... Read the complete review

St Dalfour All Natural Raspberry Fruit Spread was a new item that worked it's way into our kitchen just recently. If you like jam, but don't want all the sugar of jam, then this is one for you to try. this is especially a good choice for little kids who you don't want eating sugar sandwiches! This stuff costs £1.36 in Tesco now, though when we bought it two weeks ago it was £1.28! Hmm, beware of price hikes over this one then. Still, I think it represents good value for money anyway given that this is 50% fruit. Yep, 50% raspberries go into making this product. Those raspberries are then mixed with a gelling agent and a load of grape juice ... Read the complete review

This product is called a spread, but for all intents and purposes it is a jam. Having said that it is a very special "jam"- it has no added sugar and is made from an old French traditional countryside recipe sweetened only with the fruit concentrate of the delicious raspberries. It also contains unsweetened grape juice. I love not only the rich taste, but also that is is made with all natural ingredients, even the gelling agent is fruit pectin. That together with there being no colourings make the product suitable for vegetarians. I know that last comment may sound odd to non veggies, but I have found red jams with cochineal in, (squashed ... Read the complete review
