Advantages: None for me!

Disadvantages: Too much ooze not enough chews!

I am just about old enough to remember the days of opal fruits, a very nice chewy sweet that needed no change. To start with all they done was change the name to starburst which was ok, pointless but ok but then they started to tamper with the sweets themselves.

They removed some of the sugar whilst at the same time supposedly improving the flavour they then removed old favourite flavours and replaced them with others now finally they bring us the new idea.. Choozers, the chews that ooze!

In my opinion these sweets are horrible and I have yet to meet someone who likes them although I am sure I will get plenty comments on here from people who do.

For any one not familiar with the new chews in the starburst range these chewy sweets come in three flavours orange & mango - raspberry & orange and pineapple & orange. They are fruit flavour chews with a difference though; each one has a liquid centre made with real fruit juices.

The original idea actually appealed to me as I love fruit and anything made from fruit juice is usually something I would enjoy but these chews seem to have lost their chew almost completely and been replaced with much too much liquid centre.

The ooze from the centre of these chews is also a bit strong tasting for my liking and somewhat sour also. I think with more chew and less ooze these could work but the way they are now they get big thumbs down from me.

If you are looking for these in stores they will almost certainly be surrounded by the rest of the starburst range and can be identified by their bright pink packet with a smaller starburst logo than others to allow the word Choozers to be printed next to it.
Under the word Choozers you will see an artist's impression of a Choozer being opened to allow the liquid centre to run out.

These sweets are priced exactly the same as a normal packet of starbursts in my local paper shop (45p) but obviously like every other product will vary from store to store.

Thanks for reading!

Summary: Stick to original starbursts they are much better!
