Ahhh, the life of a temp huh? There’s nothing quite like stepping into someone’s metaphorical shoes for a week to make you feel at home. Now that I’ve given up smoking I’m at a bit of a loss as to what to do with myself at the usual break times. This isn’t a bad thing, but it does mean that I’m drinking a whole lot more cups of tea than is good for me. I’m not really a sweetie kind of person, and especially not for hard sweets, I’m not a cruncher, I guess that makes me a sucker then! All things said, it’s a bit odd that these sweeties caught my (figurative) eye while in the little shop here. They’re ... Read the complete review

I always thought that Starburst were a boring sweet before but after the branching out to make newer foods they have definitely done better. Originally the sweets were Opal Fruits which seems like so long ago that I can't even remember what they looked like. They were just mini chewy fruit squares but they were then renamed Starburst. I didn't like the name at first but I now really like it. Starburst always have fruity flavours, there have been other sweets but I love the Flipsters. I don?t wish to alarm you ? sweets haven?t been exposed to dangerous levels of radiation resulting in monster packets of Smarties eating small children in a bizarre yet ironic fashion. Instead new products are being spawned from already established names and brands. Why launch a new product no-one has heard of when you can slap on a recognised popular name, meaning more people will venture to buy it? It makes sound marketing sense. Some of the offspring of this process are the yummy Starburst Flipsters. So you could think of them as being Opal Fruits Flipsters if you prefer the old name for Starbursts. I am but an impoverished ... Read the complete review

Not happy with a near monopoly in the chocolate and luxury ice-cream markets , Mars AKA Masterfoods , further expanded their Starburst range of confectionary , this time entering the world of hard boiled candy in the form of Starburst Flipsters . -*- The packaging -*- Packs come in two sizes , pocket ( 55g ) at a cost of 36p and grab bag ( 200g ) at a cost of 99p . A pocket pack contains 9 sweets , giving an average cost of 4p per sweet . Each pack is dual red tone , with Flipsters written in bright blue , and the traditional Starburst logo clearly evident , and of course representation of the the product and flavours . Quite eye catching ( it did ... Read the complete review

I love flipsters They make me smile To find a packet I’d hop a whole mile. I eat them for lunch And also for tea And sometimes I eat them On my grandpa’s knee. Purple are lovely But red ones are best I always eat green ones While wearing a vest The yellow are nasty And taste just like wee I give them to auntie Who eats them with glee Oh flippies, oh flippies I love you so much I need to be near you To stroke and to touch Your beauty astounds me Your taste is divine Oh flippies, oh Flippies Forever be mine. ...
