Starburst may seem like a new chewy type sweet to some but these actually used to be opal fruits, everyone must remember opal fruits they have been around for many years, Star bursts are available as single packs or milti packs with 4 bars in them for about £1. Inside each pack you have around 12 sweets, each sweet is individually wrapped in paper which are different colours to represent the flavour of the chewy sweet inside. You get a mix of yellow which I think is lemon, green which I think is lime, orange which is definatley orange flavoured, red which is strawberry flavoured and purple which is blackcurrant flavoured, The mix of the green yellow ... Starburst are one of those chewy sweets that really do make your mouth water when you eat them which means that you just have to chew and a packet does not last a long time. In all there are five fruit flavour sweets in every pack, usually in a single tube you will get at least two of each flavour. Each sweet is square shaped and individually wrapped in the colour of the actual sweet. In all the flavours are lime, lemon, orange, blackcurrant and strawberry and they are coloured green, yellow, orange, purple and red respectively. They have a soft texture that are easy to bit into and you can also squash them in your fingers. They are not so chewy ... Read the complete review

Starburst/ Opal Fruits whatever you want to call them, they are lovely little sweeties! I still call them opal fruits cos thats what they were called when I was wee :) Hard to believe that they were introduced in 1960...before my mum was even born! The original flavours are lemon, orange, lime, strawberry and blackcurrant. However there have been many variations and new flavours introduced. Among the additional flavors are banana/kiwi, plum/passion fruit, raspberry, strawberry-banana, mango, melon, tropical punch, green apple, blue raspberry, watermelon, mixed berries & cream, peaches & cream, orange cream, and strawberry & cream.
