I love Stork margarine for cakes - I've tried using a cheap vegetarian alternative and it was disgusting, didn't mix in properly, and could still be tasted (in a bland way) in the cakes after coming out of the oven. It's available in at least 2 different sizes, either in the old foil paper form or in the plastic tub. I personally prefer the tub because the paper-style foil gets to messy and greasy for me. My mum introduced me to Stork margarine years ago when I was little and we'd bake together, and we used it in baking at primary school as well. My mother was a great baker, and I liked nothing better to help her- well lick out the bowl and make a general mess! When I was 11 she had undergone some operations on her wrist and couldn't bake, so I was instructed what to do and soon became a keen cook. I used recipes that she knew by memory but when I went on to do cookery at school she saved tokens from The Stork margarine packets and I got my own Stork recipe book! Which I still have to this day although it is very ...
