Advantages: Thick, Creamy, Smooth, Delicious, Many Uses

Disadvantages: Not The Healthiest Spread

This peanut butter has to be the best on the market, as it has a delicious flavour and goes well with sandwiches, toast and more! Sun-Pat also produce a crunchy variety of their peanut butter, which has very crunchy peanuts in it, but I much prefer this one as it has such a smooth and creamy flavour without unexpected crunches.

The peanut butter comes in a plastic tub, which is transparent so you can see the smooth peanut butter inside. It has a deep blue label with the logo on the front and a bright yellow cap, so it's certainly easy to spot! It has a very cool look with funky style writing on the logo and bright colours.

The peanut butter itself is light brown and just by looking at it, you can see it's of a very smooth consistency yet the texture is thick and creamy at the same time. The yellow cap unscrews easily to release the distinctive aroma. When you put a knife in, it easily breaks through the smooth surface and you can easily lift out a chunk to spread. I would recommend buttering your bread before applying this as it will spread a lot easier and taste even better.

I like to have this peanut butter on lovely warm toast, as it half melts to give this delicious texture and wonderful taste. The crunchy toast contrasts just perfectly with the smooth touch of peanut butter on the surface. The taste certainly resembles peanuts but is also nice and creamy too with the addition of butter - hence the name peanut butter. It is very filling so ideal for either lunch, breakfast or even part of a dinner!

For lunch and breakfast, I like to have this on either bread or toast. At dinnertime, I would recommend trying this as a dip with some chicken. It tastes really nice, like a proper version of Satay Chicken (chicken with peanut sauce). If you like Satay chicken, you will have to try this superb combination! It's also nice to slab a large amount onto a big American bagel, which tastes just wonderful!

In 100g, there are 601 calories to keep you going and 48.9g of fat, of which 9.4g are saturated fat - so it's not overly bad considering the amount you will have in one serving.

For a 340g tub, you will be set back just over £2.00 at Tesco. If you shop around, you are bound to find it at a lower price. It's well worth the price and a useful spread to have in the cupboard for when you're feeling peckish!

In conclusion, this is perhaps the best peanut butter you can buy for its price on the current market. It has such a distinct, smooth, thick and creamy taste, which really gets your taste buds tingling. My mouth often waters prior to having some of this as it tastes so great! The price isn't too bad, as a tub will last you quite a while. I personally prefer it to the crunch variety, so pick this one up and give it a try next time you go shopping.

Thanks for reading,

Dan ©

Summary: A lovely spread for sandwiches, toast and it even makes a good dip for chicken!
