I love the Blue Dragon range of sauce sachets and one I used for my dinner today was the sweet and sour. I use the sachets instead of jars when I'm just cooking for myself because even though each sachet is supposed to serve 2 people I think it only serves me!!! This is a standard sweet and sour sauce and tastes yummy to me, I think it could be a bit more sour because it's more sweet than anything but it's proper nice and goes wicked with either chicken or king prawns. I think this sauce has got just the right consistancy for a sweet and sour sauce and it's not too thin and not too thick. I think sometimes sweet and sour sauces can be a bit too ... My mum is out tonight so I've had to cook my own tea, lol! I made a stir fry with some frozen vegetables in a stir fry pack and cooked turkey and then added a sauce. I like sweet and sour so used a 'Blue Dragon' sweet & Sour sauce described as: 'A sweet yet tangy blend of pineapple and vegetables with Chinese rice vinegar and light soy sauce' which sounded really nice :) The sauce is in a little 120g sachet which I blue and a bright orange and is foil lined for freshness... The taste is good, sweet, but not over the top, and with a hint of pineapple and garlic. The sachet proudly states that there are ... Read the complete review

Sweet and Sour Stir Fry Sauce is probably the most recognisable and straightforward of the Blue Dragon flavours along with the Chow Mein one, whilss not as good as their extremely impressive Chow Mein sauce, Sweet and Sour is pretty much exactly what you'd expect with a slightly tangy flavour and no tell-tale ingredients that make it stand out from any other sweet and sour sauces but enough flavour to liven up your average vegetable/meat with noodle/rice dish. Unless you are preparing extremely small portions, the sachets claiming to be able to serve 2 are particularly optimistic and are more an awkward portion of 1.5. The price is pretty good but I do ...
