Cadbury Curly Wurly: ... I was little I used to buy these a lot. They weren t the best thing in the sweet shop but I realised I could pick up a couple which would make my 50p pocket go quite far (or I d buy 50 penny sweets). The other day I was in my local Spar and saw them on the shelf for just 15p. A sweet that hasn t been affected by the credit crunch. As a woman who watches her money all the time I snapped up a couple and somehow fe...

UKBrad Asda Cheeky Monkeys
... sells a reasonable selection of children s sweets for great prices and these cheeky monkeys are without a doubt are my favourite Asda branded fruit gums. They have a great range of sweets to choose from and are all great value at only 38p a bag or 3 bags for a pound. Although they are no Haribo, the daddy of all sweets, they are very close in my opinion and you get much more for your money. These sweets are fruit flavoured gums and are very juicy and dare I say it fruity. You shall also be pleased to know that they do not contain any real monkeys but instead these much more comical versions of a traditional sweet. They also stand out on the shelf as they are in an...

eatingpinkzebras Haribo Tangfastics Sour Mix
... have never been a fan of the normal Haribo sweets, but I find it tricky to resist their sour mix. If you ever had a fizzy cola bottle in the olden days then you will know the type of sweets that are included here: tangy sugared jellies. Many of the classics from the normal mix such as cherries, cola bottles, crocodiles and rings/dummies are included, but all of them are given a new twist with a coating of sour sugar. I find these sweets much more interesting and less synthetic and foamy than the normal Haribo sweets. They feel more grown up too! My favourites are the cherries, as they taste like sour maraschino cherries or sour cherry coke, and are lovely. A b...

eatingpinkzebras Asda Smart Price Foamy Fruits
... we go to the cinema, my partner likes to buy pic n mix sweets, primarily consisting of the foam-style ones, such as pink shrimps and foamy bananas . This of course costs a ridiculous amount of money: at Odeon prices, you will pay around £3 for a very small bag of pic n mix, probably around 150 grams worth (although this is just an estimate). So when I saw these foam fruits in Asda for the tiny price of 31p for 175 grams, I thought they must be worth a try, as next time we could take them with us to the cinema and save a good amount of money! The packaging on these is basic, just a white background with green writing and a green strip across the bottom (an up...
