Swizzle Double Dip Original

Double Dip is the name of a sweet, primarily aimed at children and contains two sherberts and a 'swizzle' stick'. The swizzle stick is made of a sweet candy which is used as a vessel or 'dipper' to transport the contents of the sherbert into your mouth. Ideally, the swizzle stick is licked or sucked to 'wetten' the eating tool-come-sweet, thus providing something for the sherbert to stick to. Every now and again I get a craving for these which is quite silly really because when you break them down they aren't up to much at all. I think they are just a sweet that I had quite often during my childhood and it's nice to re live them once in a while. The double dip consists of a paper packet which contains two different flavours of sherbet and a chalk-like wand. The idea is that you lick the wand and dip it into the sherbet. The moistness encourages the sherbet to stick to it and you lick it off. The sherbet is very tasty and rather sharp.
