Nicely boxed after dinner mints by Terrys. Well presented in a unusually shaped gold and dark green box, these after dinner mints provide a nice touch. The 150g box contains about 25 individually wrapped chocolate mints, so there's quite a lot in one box. Each chocolate is wrapped in gold foil and a paper wrapper and are like a mini choolate bar. Nice that each is wrapped so there's no chance of dreaded sticky or germy fingers pawing the sweeties! When unwrapped the chocolates are shiny and slightly waxy. Bite in and they have an unexpectedly chalky fondant centre with mint sugar crisp, quite unlike the silky fondant of After Eights which ...

Again I got a bargain when I bought these. They were on offer at Tesco on Buy one get one free and at £1.79 for the 2 boxes, they were worth a buy. I had the vague idea of buying one for us to eat and putting the other one in with a Christmas present, sounded a good idea, but I ended up dumping both boxes into my sweet bowl instead. Oh well. It was a good idea though. These are made by Terry's. This is Plain Chocolate with Mint through it. You can only buy these in Mint, but I love Mint Chocolate anyway, so this works for me! The outside packaging looks nice. It is black and dark green and it has lots of gold on it. I think they look more expensive ...

For those who live outside the UK, when they think of your country together with chocolate, the first thing that comes to mind is usually "Cadbury". While I don't really have much against Mr. Cadbury personally (besides his penny pinching ways of substituting the cocoa in his confections with huge amounts of powdered milk), I've never been much of a fan of milk chocolate, which is Cadbury's most prominently sold item.
