Advantages: Tasty, fove varieties to choose from

Disadvantages: High in fat

We are all familiar with the traditional Terry's chocolate orange ball however I couldn't resist these segments when they were on offer as buy one get one free in my local Woolworths!

These segments come in a 330g plastic tub with a plastic orange lid at the top which you open to reveal your treats! Each segment is individually wrapped however the segments aren't as big as those from the original ball. There are five different varieties of segment, all colour coded as follows:

*Blue - Milk chocolate flavoured with the essence of real juicy oranges
*Orange - Studded with crunchy honeycomb flavour bits
*Red - Milk chocolate top sitting on a cheeky dark chocolate bottom
*Light blue - Packed with lovely light crispy puffed rice bits
*Yellow - Secretly embedded with little crushed cornflake bits

Being the fussy person I am I have to have one of each variety when I treat myself! There seems to be an equal number of each variety s I shouldn't have any problems when I get to the end of the tub!

Being a big fan of the traditional chocolate orange I have to say I am a little disappointed with these. Although they are very tasty they don't seem to taste as good as the ball and seem to be a bit waxy. The orange ones have to be my favourite though and the red my least favourite.

The size of each segment is perfect for one mouthful. I did find the wrappers a bit static and they seemed to cling on to my hands! Maybe it's just me being a bit electrical?!!

Nutritional Information per 100g:
----------------------------------------

*520 kcal
*6.9g protein
*58.5g carbohydrate (56g of which sugars)
*28.5g fat (17g of which saturates)
*2.7g fibre
*0.11g sodium (0.26g equivalent as salt)

It comes as no surprise that these little chocolates aren't the healthiest of treats. The fat content is quite high but that is to be expected from any kind of chocolate.

Ingredients:
---------------

Sugar, Cocoa Mass, Skimmed Milk Powder, Cocoa Butter, Milk Fat, Maize, Emulsifiers (Soya Lecithin, Polyglycerol Polyricinoleate, Mono and Diglycerides of Fatty Acids), Rice Flour, Flavourings, Glucose Syrup, Salt, Colour (Beta Carotene)

Summary:
------------
These are a great little treat however they are quite fattening which is bad as they are very scrummy and it's easy to get a bit carried away with them! I do prefer the traditional chocolate orange ball as the chocolate seems a bit creamier.

From an environmental point of view there is a lot of packaging by choosing this way of eating chocolate orange. The tub they come in is plastic and each individual segment is wrapped in plastic!

The price of these seems to vary quite greatly. I cannot remember what I paid in Woolworths recently for these however I have seen them on offer in Tesco's at two for £5. Individually they seem to retail around the £3.50 mark.

If these segments take off I guess it will be the end to their phrase 'don't tap it..........whack it'!!

Summary: A tasty little treat
