Advantages: Great For Christmas

Disadvantages: Bad For Your Health

With Christmas fast approaching and winter setting in I thought it best to review this having just bought a couple.

Everyone knows what they are so I won't go into too much depth and waste words but its a round ball broken into segments and wrapped in foil. Three different flavours are available: Milk, Dark and Mint chocolate and they vary in price but the standard is around £1.50-£2.00. Bars of them are also available and cost about 50p depending on the retailer.

There are a number of advantages. Firstly they make a great Christmas present. Either as stocking fillers or people you're unsure about buying for. I struggle to find someone who dislikes these so it's always a safe bet to get one of these in order to play it safe and get something that will be liked.

Secondly, they last a while. There are a surprisingly large number of segments inside that thing and I've almost certainly never managed a full one in one single go. It takes about two visits to get it into your digestive system so it lasts longer and makes it more value for money.

Thirdly is its packaged and put together well. I find that the box is sturdy along with the plastic packaging, and you really have to knock it to get the segments separated. Also there's the stalk which always seems to be the best bit for me, and I'm not even sure why.

no real bad points though. Some retailers to bump up the price a bit and make some money out of the festive season, and you have an uneasy feeling of guilt after you've done something wrong when eating one as it's so bad for you, which is backed up by the nutritional information. Just be a little careful when eating them to make sure the calories don't pile on.

Overall it's a fantastic present and makes me incredibly nostalgic when I get them. It's a great iconic gift.

Summary: An Iconic Treat!
