Breakfast at my house during the week tends to be a rushed affair... it regularly gets missed out altogether, or, if time is made for breakfast it's often a very quick slice of toast... At the weekend, however, it's different. Sunday's tend to be our most lazy day, and it's on Sunday's we tend to indulge in our alternative breakfast... croissants! Tesco's All Butter Croissants are sold in packets of 4 or 8 - the 8-pack being slightly better value, priced at £0.98 compared with the 4-pack at 56p. I don't like to eat breakfast instead I am more likely to have a mid morning snack of fruit or a cereal bar as I am never hungry enough to eat breakfast. I do however like to eat croissants as a snack. I normally buy the Tesco All Butter Croissants, they come in either a packet of 4 or a packet of 8, I'm reviewing the packet of 4 as 8 is just too much for my husband & I to eat. They cost £0.88 for a packet of 4 which is a fair price making them a mere £0.22 each. They come in clear plastic bag so that you see them before you buy them. I had some Tesco All Butter Croissants for breakfast this morning and they were absolutely lovely. A pack of eight cost £1.58 which I think is very reasonable as it works out at around 20p each. We found they were nicest heated up and put them in the microwave for 20 seconds to do this quickly and easily but you should really put them in the oven on a low heat for a few minutes. They were lovely with a bit of jam sloshed on top. Because they already contain butter they don't really need any added but you could add some if you wanted to. The taste was really very buttery and the pastry was a lovely silky texture. The middles were lovely and fluffy ...
