Tesco Big Chocolate Cake

I have bought this birthday cake a few different times for family members. It normally costs £5.98 but is on offer at the moment for £3.98. I think that this is a brilliant price as it is a really big cake and you wouldnt get one as nice anywhere else for this price. If you are a chocoholic, this is the perfect cake for you. When you bite into it, you can really taste the thick creamy chocolatey icing. The middle part of the cake can taste a little dry at times. For me a birthday without cake, is not a birthday. It was my brothers birthday the other week and he managed to get himself two cakes on two different occasions. On of the cakes he was lucky enough to receive was the Tesco Big Chocolate Cake. This can obviously only be found Tesco as it is specific to them however the equivalent can be found in other stores such as Asda and in Sainsbury's. the cake weighs 985g and is suitable for serving roughly 12 people, depending on serving size of course. This is, as the name would suggest, a 'big' chocolate cake; or, at least, it seems huge in size to me. Perhaps it's a little more useful to talk of its servings, of which there are twelve. This is a celebratory cake within my family so, as it was my birthday recently, its presence in the household returned. I guess I can tell you right here and now that this is, by no means, a healthy cake (although, what cake truly is?). I bought this today, and I can't remember the excact price but it was less than £4.00. I forgot a students birthday until he walked into the room with his "16" badge on. Usually I bake and ice a cake for them so I had to think on my feet! I popped out on a break and this appealed for many reasons. Appearance - it looks luxurious! Attractive packaging, and it is presented on a silver cake board. The board is flimsy, but it is fine for just carrying it in with candles on.
