... different quiches and they cost a quite reasonable £1.88 or at the moment they are on offer so that you can buy 2 for £3. I opted for their Cheese and Onion quiche as I really fancied something savoury and while it didn't look like the most interesting on offer it was the one I really fancied that day. The great thing about this quiche is that you can also pop it in the freeezer and cook from frozen, I find it really helpful to have one in the freezer for nights I haven't had time to plan what we are going to eat. I love quiche and salad for a quick healthy dinner so decided to try Tescos own brand cheese and onion quiche. Packaging ======= This quiche comes in a green cardboard box. The writing tells me that the quiche is a made of cheddar cheese and onion combined with a creamy egg custard in short crust pastry. It has a picture of a quiche on the front and contains no artificial flavours or hydrogenated fat. Appearance ========= The quiche is contained in a foil tray. It is about 6 inches in diameter. The top of the quiche is lightly browned and I can see flecks of green in the egg part. The pastry is fluted around the ...  Read the complete review

Tesco Cheese and Onion Quiche costs £1.88 for a medium sized quiche that serves four to six people. I think that's a fair enough price, though I did prefer being able to buy the Value version of this when it was available. It tasted almost the same and was a fraction of the price. Still, this is a really tasty little quiche for having as a family tea. I believe you can heat it up and serve it hot, but we've always had it cold and served with salad. Inside the outer box, you'll find a foil tray. The foil tray is a necessary part of the packaging, as it keeps firm hold of the crumbly crust that runs around the edge of this quiche. I recommend ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Tesco Cheese and Onion Quiche: A cheesy but delightful quiche! (856 words)

I absolutely love quiche and when I was a kid I used to be forced to make one every weekend as I'd learnt how to make one in school and my family loved it (so did I lol). As I've gotten older though I've lost any cooking ability I had for some reason and nowadays I tend to just buy stuff I can wham in my microwave for quickness. I like decent food of course but food in my world and cheapness and quickness is always more important that taste to me personally and food is energy! The Packaging.... Has changed since this review photograph was first added on this site. The box is now a rich yellow colour with a photograph of the quiche on the front of ...  Read the complete review

I have a always loved a good quiche, I don't think you can beat a gorgeous home cooked quiche with thick buttery pastry and a cream and tasty filling. I love them served either hot and cold with salad and I love the fact that you can have so many different varieties. Slight problem, I have never actually tried to make quiche myself and have actually convinced myself that if I did I would fail miserably. Therefore most of time I have to settle for shop bought quiches which can sometimes really dissappoint. I do the majority of my food shopping in Tesco's, mainly because it's my closest supermarket so last week when I experienced the urge to have a quiche for ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Tesco Cheese and Onion Quiche: Oh for some cooking ability (298 words)

I have never been able to master the art of making a good quiche as mine either turn out too soggy or do not taste that nice so I'm resigned to buying store made quiche, there was a little deli I used to visit in London that made a cheese and onion quiche, and many others for that matter, to die for but sadly that went out of business for some reason. This cheese and onion quiche by Tesco is an ok product but not a patch on my old favourites, they seem to be permanently on a deal where you can buy two for £3 from any of the standard quiche range at Tesco and these are suitable for freezing however you need to allow sufficient time for them to defrost before ...  Read the complete review
