Tesco Cheese and Onion Sandwich Filler

Description: Sandwich spread. Cheddar Cheese, Onion, Spring Onion and Chives in Mayonnaise.

Newest Review: ... together with a thick mayonaise. It does go quite a long way and because it is so strong you won't need a lot to taste it. ... more

 ... It has a nice cheesy and onion taste to it and cheese lovers will adore this item, but for me it was a little bit too strong and slightly bland. I got a bit sick of the cheese taste by the time I'd finished my sandwich. *************** Nutritional information ************** Personally I think there is too much mayonaise in this sandwich filler and that is reflected in the calorie content. Per 100g you will get: * Energy: 424 calories; * Protein: 10g; * Carbohydrate: 0.2g, (of which sugars: 0.2 g); * Fat: 42....more

Premium Review Tesco Cheese and Onion Sandwich Filler: A Sandwich In Seconds (520 words)

My Dad is known within our family for being the 'Tesco's bargain hunter'. He goes to Tesco's most evenings, at around 8pm and finds all the stock that is being reduced. He finds some real bargain and it means that the rest of the family get to try things that we would normally be too tight to buy if they were full price. Last night, my Dad got Tesco's Cheese and Spring Onion Sandwich Filler and gave it to me to have for lunch today. Packaging The cheese and spring onion sandwich filler comes in a see through plastic pot which is similar to the sort of pots you get potato salad and coleslaw in. The pot has a label on the top of it giving a product ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Cheesy and full of bad calories!! (428 words)

As you might guess, this is available at Tesco! It is a convenient ready made sandwich filler, and it will be found in the chillers cabinets. The packaging that it comes in is a 200g plastic tub sealed only by a sticky paper label with the ingredients and calorific values. Easily spotted on the shelves with its green labelling!! When you open it up you can really smell it, very strong of cheese and chives, a pungent aroma but nonetheless pleasant. It is creamy in colour as it contains mayonnaise in the mix and you can make out little shreds of cheese and very small greenish whitish onion bits. The consistency is very thick and ...  Read the complete review

~~~ LUNCH TIME ~~~ We're doing the bathroom at the moment ... the plumber who was supposed to fit the bath, sink and toilet last weekend still hasn't turned up and I am up to my eyeballs in tile cement and grout. I am not a professional either and what started out as a "fun project" has very quickly turned into a nightmare !!! Today, my dad has come round to my house to "help" and my 19 month old son keeps popping in to "help" too ... which in reality means that one is "supervising" and the other is "getting under my feet" !!! As you can imagine meal times have gone out of the window and ...  Read the complete review
Premium Review Lunchtime has never been so tasty! (727 words)
Everyone in our house takes packed lunches - to school, college, work, wherever.......lunches need to be filling, they need to be healthy, and they need to be reasonably priced.....and it is very easy to buy the same old lunchbox components every week. I have to admit I am not overly adventurous in the packed lunch department. Sandwiches form the mainstay of lunchtime, and fillings comprise generally of ham, pate, cheese, and tuna.....or if we are having a "skint week", jam, marmite, and chocolate spread. Alternatively pasta and couscous dishes, make regular appearances at lunchtime (often leftovers from the previous night's meal). I ...  Read the complete review
Premium Review Tesco Cheese and Onion Sandwich Filler: CHEESY, TANGY AND FILLING (353 words)
We often have Buffets at work, and although I normally make myself in charge of the Sausage Rolls, sometimes I bring some Sandwiches. After all you need a couple of sandwiches if you are skipping your normal lunch and munching at a Buffet. Although it would be great just to eat Crisps and Sweets, but I guess we all need something a bit more filling. I've bought the Asda version of this often, but recently came across the Tesco version. I'm sure that it is probably pretty much the same product, just with a different sticker to denote the shop it is sold in. This comes in a see through plastic tub. It is quite a deep tub and is a square shape. There ...  Read the complete review
