Once I had taken the cardboard off I could see the skins which were quite shallow in depth and approximately 8cm in width. It was then that I set about cooking them. You can freeze the potato skins on the day of purchase but I cooked from fresh. To cook the skins you need to set the oven to Gas mark 5 / 190°c and remove all of the packaging and the sour cream dip. You then need to place the skins onto a baking t...more

Although I do not get the opportunity that often I am a big fan of entertaining and cooking for people. I always wanted to be a cook and be involved in food (not sure what went wrong really!) but when my sister and her other half announced they were coming for a visit I decided to cook for them rather than order fro our local take away! With my main course and dessert menu sorted I was after a quick fix starter, It was only when browsing the aisles of Tesco that I found the Loaded Potato Skins, now I appreciate this is not cooking but it helped me out for my starter as I was going to be busy with the rest of the meal... In Tesco recently I sent my granddaughter to the chillers to pick something for us to munch on while we watched a film that night, amongst the arm full of goodies she came back with was this packet of Loaded Potato Skins from the Tesco range. At £3.29 they are possibly one of the most expensive products in the range but considering the price I paid for a similar product in the Sainsbury's Taste the Difference range at Christmas this is still very good value for money considering there are twelve skins in here and not the usual eight. Please note, the box is incorrect above. The potato skins I bought came in the typical Tesco Value blue and white packaging ...  Read the complete review
