Advantages: great price, light, tasty.
Disadvantages: none
I always hate eating anything that is a cheap version of the original. I have tasted enough to know that they are never as good as the original. However, Tesco Cheese Puff's totally did it for me. I adore Wotsits so i ended up giving these a try when seeing them in Tesco.
As you can probably guess the packaging itself isnt a stunning bag, quite simple. The simple Blue and White colours and the Tesco Value logo. On the back will be your nutritional information. There are 83 calories in a 16g packet. There is also salt - 0.4g, sugar - 0.8g, fat - 4.4g (0.6g saturates) salt - 0.4g, Protein - 1.2g, Carbohydrate - 9.6g (Sugars 0.8) and Fibre - 0.1g.
When you first open the bag you get a nice whiff of cheese. They are as crunchy and tasty as the real Wotsits, they are small yellow looking little puffs, not as big as wotsits like but, still the same texture and they melt nicely into your mouth giving you a nice rich taste. These are also fantastic for parties, especially kids parties. I saw these at my nephews party a few weeks back and kept stealing some out of the bowl - not just for kids mind !
The Main ingredients...
Maize, Sunflower Oil, Cheese Seasoning.
Cheese Seasoning contains: Whey powder, cheese powder, salt, rusk, (wheat flour, salt), yeast extract, natural flavouring, dextrose, acidity regulator (citric acid), anti-caking agent (silicon dioxide), paprika extract, sunflower oil.
These are also suitable for Vegetarians. Which is why i go for them.
So i would recommend these to you. They are pretty light on the hips too. Although you get a nice strong taste from the Puff's they are not too over-powering. 10/10
Summary: try out cheesy puffs.
