Today when I was out shopping in my local Tesco store I was starving! Terrible time to be out food shopping.... I know this now since I spent a fortune in there and I'm sure it's down to that fact lol. Anyway I decided to get myself some dinner and I quite fancied a ready made pasta dish and when I saw this sat on a shelf with other varities it looked nice and was as I said ready prepared so I bought it and rushed home, plonked it on my plate and was ready to go! How easy is that!? lol. The Packaging: See through oval and quite deep see-through plastic tub with a brown sticky label that goes down the middle of it and around the back of ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review A great value lunch on the run from Tesco! (309 words)

Since Tesco have gone all 'We are the nations biggest discounter', I noticed this crop up in my local Tesco store, priced at just £1.19 (was formerly £1.59 apparently) for a 450g pack. The salad comes in an oval plastic container with a fully removable lid sealed just by the plastic label that covers it. There is no plastic fork, but then I don't suspect that Tesco anticipated people like me eating the whole thing in one go as lunch! Yes, it is meant to be shared as part of a ploughmans or salad I expect, but for a hungry guy it serves as a complete lunch on the run pretty well. The price is also brilliant seeing as the pasta's in their 'take away ...  Read the complete review

**Introduction** We all know about the vast selection of packed sandwiches you will find in all the major supermarkets with a range of different fillings and breads to suit a range of tastes but there are also a number of different snacks and meals you can pick up in your local supermarket, This one is from Tesco and can be found in the same fridge as all of their packed sandwiches. The Tesco Chicken and Bacon Pasta salad is one of my favourites from Tesco. **Tesco Chicken and Bacon Pasta Salad** The Chicken and Bacon Pasta salad is housed in the same shaped tub as the rest of the pastas on offer which include Tuna and Sweetcorn amongst ...  Read the complete review

When it's really hot like it has been the last few days, I actually find it quite hard to eat a substantial meal at lunchtime more than anything because of preparing it in the heat, so I tend to opt for a bowl with a bit of mixed salad in it. This is quite difficult to do however if you know you're going to be running around a lot during the day, and it's maybe not as substantial as a sandwich or something like rice or pasta. I happened to be in Tesco on Tuesday morning and spotted this salad and thought umm that might be a good idea for tomorrow. The reason - I knew I was going to be running around a fair bit trying to get things done, and having something ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Tesco Chicken and Bacon Pasta Salad: The Best Pasta Salad (194 words)

I love it when I go to Tesco at lunchtime cos I can get a chicken and bacon pasta salad. It's dead nice and lovely on a hot day like today cos the mayo is cool and fresh. There is loads of chicken and bacon and they taste great. The chicken is fresh and tender, you can't taste teh bacon exactly but its nice and crispy and thats nice cos the pasta and chicken is soft. The mayo has got herbs in it and they make it more tasty then a plain mayo on the pasta. The pasta is soft and hasn't stuck together like happens in pasta salads from Asda. It costs about £1.50 and is worth the money cos its so tasty and filling. If I ...  Read the complete review
