... chocolate to the cheesecake but there is nothing to write home about on this front. The chocolate sauce was only a very thin layer which was rather disappointing. However, if you are looking for a rich chocolate taste you will be very disappointed. The chocolate taste was noticeable but that was about it. The sauce was overly sweet and I felt rather sticky. The actual cheese layer well again nothing special here. The texture was rather odd for a cheesecake. It was heavy and whilst not exactly grainy it was I suppose a bit ...more

Crowned Review Tesco Chocolate Brownie Cheesecake: Made for sharing NOT!!! (734 words)

I’m a big lover of chocolate and also a big lover of cheesecake so a product that combines the two is a great idea, however traditionally my love of chocolate extends only to the actual product, chocolate flavour ice cream or cakes are never quite the same. Maybe it is the quality of the chocolate used or the combination does not work whatever it is the taste is never right, this particular product however does go someway to addressing the balance. I like the fact that the Chocolate Brownie Cheesecake is sold in an individual portion as it means that I do not burden the guilt of buying a whole cheesecake and scoffing the lot. When I say an individual portion I ...  Read the complete review

Having a bit of a sweet tooth and a bit of a chocoholic I decided to give these a go. There are slightly different to the picture shown as they no longer have the chocolate curls on the top. These cost me £1.90 for two rather small slices of cheesecake. What do they consist of? They have the usual parts you would expect a cheesecake to have. There is the biscuit base, made from a chocolaty digestive biscuit the layer of the cheese filling and topped with a thin layer of chocolate sauce. The cheese layer has a small amount of what is supposed to be chocolate brownies in it. The good news/bad news bit! Nutritional info (per ...  Read the complete review

I eat a lot more unhealthy foods than I probably should, my latest indulgence is Tesco Chocolate Brownie Cheesecake, my husband & I both love this but we don't buy it too often because it contains so much saturated fat! Unlike a lot of people I think that Tesco products are very good quality and so when I bought this I just knew it was going to be good. You get two slices at just over 100g a slice for £2. This may seem like a lot compared to other treats you can buy but it is worth every penny. They come in a clear plastic container with a pale brown label on the front. On the label is the name of the product, the words "Belgian Chocolate, Fudgy, ...  Read the complete review

Everyone is entitled to a treat, so today (after Weight Watchers) I popped into Tesco to buy a cake to share with my friend with a nice cup of tea at her house. Looking in the chiller my eagle eye immediately saw a Tesco branded cake which looked delightfully chocolatey and gooey even without my glasses on. It was a Chocolate Brownie Cheesecake which came as two individual slices for £2. Perfect. Putting our slices of cheesecake on the plates I was a bit miffed at how skinny the slices were, I could have bought half a strawberry cheesecake in my village bakery for that! They look delicious though and I cannot wait to tuck in. The topping ...  Read the complete review

Yum….a Friday night alone in the house, just me my computer…oh and a chocolate brownie dessert... if you hadn’t already seen the product I’m review, you may have guessed where this review is going to go. Yes another food review. Well I can’t help it if I’m in the mood for trying out new food ideas that I have never come across before. So walking up to my nearest Tesco express, I decide to buy a cheesecake. But not any old cheesecake… a chocolate brownie cheesecake which I have never seen in my life before. Delicious. I can’t wait to tuck in now – see what I do for you lot out there? I wait around, reviewing the product before the taste test, so I can’t wait until then, ...  Read the complete review
