Despite me being 24 on my next birthday, my Mum still likes to spoil me and get me a birthday cake. The year before last, her choice of cake was the "Curly The Caterpillar Chocolate Cake" and I have to say I was very impressed with her choice. We?ve had a birthday in our house recently. Normally I always bake a cake but for some reason this year my ten year old daughter who tries so desperately hard to pretend she is at least three years older decided she wanted a shop bought novelty cake. In my opinion you can never be to old for birthday cake, Never! My mum and dad still buy me one and I can not resist buying my other half one, it makes it even better that I like to present him with it at the most embarassing of times, thats my silly sense of humour for you! Whilst celebrating my other half's birthday recently, we had been invited to a family meal and a few drinks at my parent's house. My other half was treated to a slap-up home cooked meal and the beer was a-flowing throughout. As I have lots of nieces & nephews and quite a few friends with children now it's not unusual for me and 'Curly' the chocolate caterpillar cake from Tesco to meet at least a couple of times a year. Curly is a chocolate cake from Tesco, currently available for £4.98 and served around 10-15 people (dependant on serving size!).
