Despite me being 24 on my next birthday, my Mum still likes to spoil me and get me a birthday cake. The year before last, her choice of cake was the "Curly The Caterpillar Chocolate Cake" and I have to say I was very impressed with her choice. Packaging The box was lime green in colour with a sheet of plastic over the main part of the cake, meaning you can see that cake while it is still in the box. All the usual information is written on the box such as nutritional information and storage instructions. We?ve had a birthday in our house recently. Normally I always bake a cake but for some reason this year my ten year old daughter who tries so desperately hard to pretend she is at least three years older decided she wanted a shop bought novelty cake. Most of the shop bought cakes I?ve purchased in the past have either been very dry or very small for the money spent out so I was a little wary when she stated her intentions. As a child, I remember fondly that in nursery school whenever it was someones birthday, a caterpillar cake would always be purchased and shared out amongst the children. If you were the lucky birthday child you would get the piece bearing the face.
