I brought a box of these Mint Thins to try because if they was any good I thought I'd get a few boxes for over Xmas, they are only £1.00 a box and that's wicked considering After Eights are £2.79! The only disappointing thing is that they don't come in the classy envelopes and are just laid out in piles in the plastic tray inside the box. They look very nice though, they're a bit thicker than After Eights but they still look very thin and you know you're in for something good just by the look of them. I think these are yummy and well worth £1.00, if you like After Eights then try these because you could save some money whether you're on a budget ... Read the complete review

I recently did a review on the Tesco chocolate orange truffle sticks that I bought whilst doing the shopping with my Husband. These Mint thins were one of the other items that we bought along with the orange truffle sticks What are they? These are Tesco own branded chocolate mint thins which are just like the After Eight version of square chocolates with a mint fondant in the middle. The box: The box is pretty much the same as all other brands you can buy now of mint thins - oblong in shape with the chocolates all laid out in a row inside. The box is green in colour on the outside with a brown strip all the way around the ... Read the complete review

Supermarkets are clever, nasty places; they work out what sells well (like After Eight mints at Christmas) and then make their own version and sell it for less. For around £1, you can get a packet of these After Eight rip-offs from the guys at Tesco. They're made up of squares of thing chocolate, filled with mint cream fondant. Ultimately, these are very very tasty. There's something about having a very thin layer of chocolate - it makes it easy to bite, it crunches satisfyingly in your mouth, and it begins to melt the minute you eat it. Now add to that the gloopy mint fondant in the middle, and you're onto a winner. Cleverly, there's only a little bit of mint ... Read the complete review

Tesco Dark Chocolate Mint Thins are available all year round. I think they initially called them Christmas chocolates, but because they were popular they changed the packaging to a lime green colour and made them available without the "Christmas" bit. They're the same product as the ones you get at Christmas. You can buy them exclusively from Tesco, and they £1 a box. Inside the outer box you'll find a plastic package that holds around 20 chocolate thins. They sit in little segments with the plastic tray holding them apart from one another. The box looks like it's going to contain more than that, but in fairness I don't think you can complain ... Read the complete review

I am a big fan of After Eight Mints. I like them when we have friends round with a coffee after dinner or at Christmas with a Baileys. The problem is, they are just so very expensive! Luckily, Tesco to the rescue! These Mint Thins are almost identical to After Eights but at a fraction of the price. The mits are dark chocolate thins filled with mint cream ans it's as simple as that. The mint cream is sticky and delicious. The only way I can tell these from After Eights is that the chocolate isn't as thick or crunchy. That is their only let down but it isn't really that much of a big deal. The box is the same size and shape as After Eights and each ... Read the complete review
