I have bought this a few times now, although I'm never sure why. Beetroot for me is a bit like marmite. Whereas most people are a bit of a 'love it or hate it' sort of person, I find that I go through phases. Sometimes, I go through a phase of liking salads, and one of the biggest ingredients is beetroot. usually, I will pick up this cooked beetroot from Tesco. It is full of flavour and very juicy indeed, which has both positive points and negative ones. On the plus side, it tastes great: there's plenty of juice to keep the flavour quite full and it mixes well with other salad ingredients, particularly if you use a good lettuce. Tesco Cooked Beetroot Vacuum Pack costs 62p in Tesco, which I think is a fair price given the general cost of fruit and vegetables. Each packet has a weight of 250g, and though this usually means there are four beetroots in a packet, occasionally there have been just three really large ones in a packet when we've bought them. Because this product is vacuum packed, it can be a bit tricky to get open. I'm not exactly sure why it's vacuum packed if I'm honest, but presumably this plays a part in the preservative side of things?
