Advantages: Tasty, Cheap, Great Quality
Disadvantages: None
Tesco Creamy Coleslaw comes in a couple of size and price options. A 180g tub costs 43p, a 300g tub costs 70p or a 600g tub costs £1.20. There's a matter of pence in between the price per gram of each size tub, so you can just buy the tub size that's right for your needs without feeling like you're being ripped off by going for one of the smaller sizes.
Tesco Creamy Coleslaw is a product that everyone in my house has been really impressed with. It's got the taste and consistency of a brand name coleslaw, and the recipe could easily pass as a Tesco Finest product. The consistency is rich and thick, making this a coleslaw that needs forking or spooning out of the tub rather than dripping out like cheap, runny coleslaws can do. There are lots of vegetables in here that are crisp and crunchy, without feeling hard.
The sauce they've dressed this in is spot on in my opinion. It's just creamy enough without detracting from the savoury nature of this salad dish. There's a blend of cream, mayonnaise and mustard that's gone into making this a very tasty little side.
In my experience, Tesco Creamy Coleslaw goes perfectly with jacket potatoes or on top of a burger. Yes really, a burger. Spoon it on the middle of your burger and put it into a bun. It's like putting mayo on your burger but you get to honestly say you had vegetables with your burger that way! It's suprisingly good as a relish, because the thick consistency means it stays were you put it and doesn't drip out of the sides.
This is a must-have at summer barbies everywhere. Coleslaw is always a popular serving, and this stuff is an absolute bargain. It's low priced but top quality - what more could you ask for?
Summary: Highly Recommended
