The lattices cook it around 20-25 minutes and it's easy to see when they are cooked as they take on a crispier edge to the outside whilst turning a lovely golden brown colour. There is a coating on the lattices which reminds me of southern fried wedges. The potato is very light and fluffy inside and the outside has a delicious crispness to it. We had a nice unhealthy pizza meal tonight so when I passed the freezer aisle and saw these potato lattices on offer at £1.00 (usual price £1.29) I decided to give them a try. The bag is now red (different to the picture Dooyoo have) and has a picture of the potato lattices on the front which was what enticed me to try the product as I love potato and this was definitely something different. These lattices are made from 80% potato, 10% sunflower oil & 10% seasoning and can be cooked from frozen in the oven or the deep fat fryer. I used to work in a Harvester Restaurant in Stoke on Trent, years and years ago, when I was in my teenage years and thats when I initially come across this potato product, Lattice Fries as they called them. Having a meal allowance there, everyone wanted these instead of chips and jacket potato, however it was the one thing that the didn't have on the menu for staff which was disappointing.
