... room temperature. Each Snack sized pack has 285 calories and 13.3g fat, so perhaps a little higher than a standard bar of Chocolate considering the pack size. These are not my favourite in the Tesco Chocolate range, as I like the Wild N Whippy ones the best, but I would say these are my 2nd favourite as they are sweet enough, and sicky to deal with your sweet tooth. A cheaper alternative to the brand name, but not that much cheaper if you compare them both....more

Premium Review Tesco Crunchy Caramel Biscuit: SWEET AND SICKLY (351 words)

These are Tesco's version of Twix's and although they were alright, they just weren't quite as good as the brand named ones. You can buy these in a Mini Bar pouch which has the other Tesco versions of Chocolates such as Snickers, Mars Bars, and Bounty's or you can buy them in a Snack Sized pack. In the Snack Sized pack you get 7 of these and they cost about £1.10. Packaging is alright for these. They are individually wrapped and they are all wrapped together in a longer pack. The colourings on the pack are a medium/deep brown and it has the writing in white on the pack. There is the normal picture of the item which has been half eaten and it looks alright on ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review It's Twix Without The Brand Name Or Price Tag (448 words)

I recently reviewed Tesco's Wild & Whippy bars and their Caramel Nougat bars. The first being a very close version of Milky Way, and the latter being a very good replication of Mars. Tesco's Crunchy Caramel Biscuits are next on my list as a great alternative to Twix if you want want to save a few pennies on the branded version. Tesco Crunchy Caramel Biscuit Bars can be found in the chocolate & sweets isle, alongside their other own-brand products. These come in mutlipack sizes only, as Tesco own brand chocolate bars aren't sold individually. A 232g 4 pack costs 99p (currently on offer at 3 for £2.50, including a selection of their other own brand ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Tesco Crunchy Caramel Biscuit: Two fingers of caramel yum! (840 words)

Last week my body was longing for something, I was feeling hungry so I got myself some ham and cheese, a real favourite of mine. I ate it but still my body wanted something. Not having had anything sweet for quite sometime (I tend to stick to a low carb diet so biscuits and sweets are normally not on the menu), I started to crave something chocolatey. My girlfriend also fancied something so we popped to our local Tescos. Off we went to the confectionary aisle to find something tempting. I saw a pack of Twix bars and not having had a Twix for a very long time it really appealed to me, so I picked it up. While my girlfriend was choosing, I noticed down at the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review A Once in a While Choccy Treat (377 words)

Tesco Crunchy Caramel Biscuit is one of the Tesco own chocolate bars that I've been most impressed with. Price wise, a packet of seven individual snack size bars will set you back £1.06, which is a reasonable 15p per bar. Each bar in these packs comes as a short, twin pack - like a twix that's been cut in half! You can also purchase these in packets of four standard sized bars for 99p, which works out at 25p per bar. Obviously, these bars are Tesco's take on Mar's Twix bars. Be warned that although you might assume that Tesco's version is considerably cheaper than Mar's, they're not. A five pack of Twix costs £1.59 which is 32p each, and a packet of nine ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Tesco Crunchy Caramel Biscuit: As good as Twix (172 words)

mmmm... these are yummy. Basically these are a Tesco own brand Twix. They only come in a multipack, and are snack size, but they're big enough to satisfy a chocolate craving and as they are little you save a few calories. Being an own brand of course, these are cheaper than buying Twix and I can't really tell the difference, I think maybe the carmel isn't quite as runny but who cares? For those of you unfamilar with Twix, They are two fingers of shortcake biscuit (and this biscuit in these tesco ones are particularly good) with caramel on top all wrapped in milk chocolate. For people who still want a treat but are watching ...  Read the complete review
