Tesco Curly Fries Oven Chips cost £1.34 for a 750g bag from the frozen section in Tesco. We tried them recently when they were on offer for £1, and thought that even £1 was too much fo pay for these! In theory, these should be easy going tasty little curly fries to have with your dinner. They're cut to a good consistency leaving them with a good, enjoyable texture. They're easy to cook and take about 20 minutes in the oven. It says they need turning half way through cooking, but we didn't find this was necessary. They crisp up nicely so they've got a nice crunchy outer, and inside they've got a slither of fluffy, light potato. They're really ... Read the complete review

There's just something about CUrly Fires. I like Chips, think Wedges are ok, but Curly Fries are delish - as long as they are cooked alright. They must be crisp, but not too crisp otherwise I worry i'm going to break my teeth! These are in the freezer section of Tesco and cost me £1.20 for the 750g bag. The bag was just the normal poly bag style that you get Chips in. There was a little picture of a plate of these and the Curls looked springy and golden - yummy! It says on the pack these are oven cook, but I put a batch into the Chip Pan and they turned out alright as well. There wasn't that many Spiral Curly Fries in this ... Read the complete review

I'm not a massive fan of chips to begin with but generally buy them because I like to have them in the freezer when i'm not feeling up to cooking a big meal. I picked these up for a change from regular oven chips and was rather disappointed in them. What initally attracted me to them was the promise of a 'southern friend coating' however, once I had cooked them, the taste was rather bland to the point of tasting a bit like mush. The results are not crispy at all but rather soggy and taste less. Another problem I had with them were that the larger chips tasted like they were not cooked properly and the smaller ones were burnt at the edges... defintely not a ... Read the complete review

750g of Tesco Curly Fries will set you back around £1.34. They are sold in a bright blue plastic bag in the frozen section and once opened they have a slightly off putting orange colour. They will cook in around 15-18 minutes in a pre heated oven but may take a little longer to crisp up- deending on how you like them to look. As they are quite thin, I find the ends will go hard and the rest will not be cooked most of the time.... 100g contains 215 calories and 10.8g of fat. The ingredients on the pack are "Potato 87%, sunflower oil, coating 6%". If you ponder over this, "coating" is quite vague and there is 7% not stated (I think we are ... Read the complete review
