Tesco Extra Strong Mints

Description: Tesco Extra Strong Mints

Newest Review: ... I can't tell the difference. And at 5 packets for £1.22 (more than half the price of Trebor) an absolute bargain. Now I don't ... more

... have the Branded ones to hand to tell you the difference however. Tesco's packaging says that 9 sweets roughly 23grams will be 95 calories, 22.8g of carbs, no fat no sodium and no salt. So good in some departments! So if you have an unhealthy addiction to Extra Strong Mints I suggest trying Tesco own (In a 5 pack) to save some cash and also to experience the same fresh minty strong taste you would from the big brand. Anyway off to have another mint - boy my breath is fresh !!...more

I’m a nibbler, I nibble on anything – my fingers, sleeves, pens, hair… (I’m sure Freud would have something to say about that!). So, when I have a pack of sweets I tend to eat one, then absent-mindedly continue eating them until they’ve all gone. There’s absolutely no chance you could eat a pack of Tesco Extra Strong Mints without realising it though. The mints are SO strong, and I really would advise against biting the mint as the minty-ness only gets stronger. It feels like your mouth is on fire. Your mouth is left feeling very minty for quite a while though. After eating a mint I seem to forget the fire that was in my mouth and immediately pop another one in, ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Better than the leading brand (171 words)

I first sampled these mints due to a substitution on my on-line order for Tescos (which is whole other review). I was initially full of trepidation about these packs, as I was unsure about how the quality would compare to the Tebor mints I had originally ordered. To be honest, I have been pleasantly surprised. The mints taste better than the Trebor mints I originally ordered, and they have a different texture. They are also harder and less crumbly, and as a consequence, they last much longer. This especially handy for me as, when it comes to sweets, I am a chewer by nature, and the crumbly texture of the Trebor mints means I can get through a pack a day quite ...  Read the complete review

I have recently given up smoking after 13 years of being an addict I am free. Well I have been smoke free for 15 days. Which is an achievement and although I have had a sneaky drag here and there (mainly because my other half smokes) I am essentially a non smoker. Hopefully it will stay that way. However I have had little cravings and just the urge to put something in my mouth - now now! So I have been trying not to use Chocolate or Crisps as a crutch - ok so I have a bit - but I tried, but the best thing for me - as I smoked Menthol cigarettes is an extra strong mint. Now the first packet or 2 I had were Trebor. 59p a packet - blimey. I didn't want to spend ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review These are minted! (252 words)

I love to keep a fresh smelling mouth and I do this in many ways such as chew chewing gum, eat Tic-Tacs by the million or just eat generally any type of mint sweetie from Polo`s to extra strong mints. I prefer extra strong mints when I have a bit of a cold or a stuffy nose but I do enjoy them at other times too. I used to stick to Trebor for my extra strong mints after trying other brands and finding out that the sweets were a bit crumbly textured and went a bit chalky like almost like a heartburn pill. When I found the Tesco mint after trying one from a friend I was hooked, these are better than the Trebor version. The Tesco extra strong mint is a ...  Read the complete review
