Tesco Filo Prawns
Newest Review: ... exactly dry after cooking it's certainly not swimming in fat like a recent batch of Filo Prawns I bought from Iceland. As I ... more  ... mentioned, the tails are still on the prawns. They crisp up beautifully so I eat them but if you don't like the tail they are very easy to pull off without pulling half of the prawn out too!
The prawn itself is fairly succulent, not the plumpest king prawns I've ever eaten but they are large with a delicate yet delicious flavour. They are well cooked and retain their moisture nicely, I think they are absolutely delicious and feel like a real treat.

In Tesco last week I noticed they were selling boxes of their frozen Filo Prawns for 20p each, they are apparently discontinuing the product and these were the last few left in my local store. The usual price is £1.50 for ten and I have bought them before at that price so I jumped at their sale price and stocked the freezer up with 15 boxes! Tonight I fancied a treat, I was having a zero fat salad for tea as my diet is going great guns again so I decided to cook myself a box up to even up the balance on my plate! Each Filo Prawn contains 24 calories and 0.5g of saturated fat, which isn't great but when teamed with lettuce and tomatoes doesn't make for that ... Read the complete review
