I ordered these from Tesco when I was in a hurry to get my shopping ordered. The description on the box sounded good: 'Large Meaty Aberdeen Angus beef burgers enhanced with salt and cracked black pepper' The ingredients are: Beef (99%), Salt, Cracked black pepper They are part of the Tesco finest frozen food range, so I assumed they would be good quality meat. Big mistake! Being in a hurry, I missed out on the one important thing I always look for with burgers - the fat content. I was stunned to find they contain a whopping 24.7g fat, and 365 calories per burger. Of that, a scary 11.5g is saturated fat. I usually make my own ...

~~Big Beautiful Beefy Burgers~~ I'm not fond of fast food in general and even less fond of greasy and cardboard-like beef burgers. You won't find me in any of the nation's most popular fast food joints or buying any in even the best of butcher shops. So why am I writing about these, when the last time I'd previously had a beef burger was about ten years ago? (I do make exceptions for some lamb-burgers).
