Advantages: Taste good, low in calories

Disadvantages: could eat the whole pack, uneven spread of almonds and a bit pricey

I adore almonds and anything containing almonds, be it food, drink, cleaning products or beauty products; so when a friend offered a box of Tesco Finest Almond Thins while we were visiting recently I tore open the box without hesitation. I remembered trying these some years back and quite enjoying them.

Currently they are priced at £1.79 for a 175g box and only available at Tesco!

There are approximately 40 Almond Thins in each box, which are 'A continental blend of almond nut slices and brown sugar gives these thin butter-rich biscuits a refined, distinctive taste.' The biscuits have the colour of brown sugar with slices of almonds clearly scattered throughout the biscuit. This is where my only problem with this treat lies..... The picture on the box is not a true reflection of the contents. Yes, they look very very similar but there are no where near as many slices of almonds in the 'real' biscuits and in fact one had just one piece of nut! There is a very uneven spread of nuts throughout these biscuits.

All the above said, they are very tasting, very rich and buttery with yes a distinctive taste. The almonds are wonderful and toasted lovely and they work well with the sugar/butter biscuit.

5 biscuits are just 90 calories and although they are very moreish I could not eat the whole box. I think I had six so I am more than happy with the calorie contents for a tasty treat.

I do think that they are a little overpriced, but they are delicious so you would have to make up your own mind as to whether they are worth the extra or not!

Summary: Still not quite made up my mind on these...
