Advantages: Lots of chocolate, cookie tastes great, good value for money

Disadvantages: only available at Tesco

When I am working nights, I tend to find that I don't eat properly, instead I snack on all the things that are bad for me such as cakes, crisps and cookies. So while wondering around Tescos as 2am, looking for something to eat, I came across Tescos Finest Half Coated Triple Chocolate Cookies and decided to give them a go.

Packaging
These cookies come in a cardboard box with the usual Tesco Finest design which is silver and black. There is a picture of the cookies on the front of the box and a description of the cookies which reads "half-coated in Belgian milk chocolate, made with plain, white and milk chocolate"

Cost
Tesco Finest do a whole range of cookie with some really wonderful flavours. All the Tesco Finest Cookies cost 99p for a box which contains 8 cookies so I think the price is really reasonable.

The Cookie
These Cookies are about 2 inches across and about twice the thickness of most other cookies I have seen. The cookies themselves are a medium golden brown colour and you can easily see the large chunks of three different types of chocolate inside. The bottom of the cookie is covered in chocolate and the top of the cookie is not.

Taste
These cookies are quite soft compared to biscuits but still have a certain amount of crunch to them. I suppose the best way to describe the texture, is that they are similar to the texture of a brownie but slightly crunchier. The cookie tastes nice and sweet and the taste of chocolate comes through almost instantly. The bottom of the cookie (which is coated in chocolate) tastes different from the rest of the cookie as the chocolate coated on the bottom is quite rich. The chocolate chips inside the biscuit just make the cookie taste even better, its amazing how the different types of chocolate compliment each other. I am not a very big chocolate fan to be honest and I did worry that I would find these cookies to sickly with the three different types of chocolate but I am pleased to say that this was not the case at all.

My Opinion
I would certainly recommend these cookie, especially to any chocoholics out there. Having said that, as I already mentioned, I am not a great fan of chocolate and I still really enjoyed these cookies. To be honest, I was really surprised that these cookies were not too sickly considering they include three different types of chocolate. The cookies are cooked to perfection and are soft and crunchy at the same time (how do they do it?)near as luxurious as these.
This is certainly a product I will be buying again!

Summary: Lovely and chocolatley!
