... don't feel oily to the touch there's a definite taste of oil underneath the ham flavour. I also thought the flavouring was a bit too sweet and even though it's called HONEY roast ham I wasn't expecting a sweet taste to the crisps. It wouldn't have been so bad if you could taste the honey but it's just like a sweet meat instead that to me makes it taste a bit like they've used off ham. The crisps are nice and crunchy and the texture of them is a bit like the Red Sky crisps I've gone mad on recently so it's a shame ...more

I brought these on a whim because I fancied a nice bag of crisps but didn't want Kettle Chips because the flavours are grating on me a bit at the minute. These are honey roast ham flavour and do taste a lot like ham but are a bit too much like smoky bacon for me and I don't think these are special enough for Tesco to sell them under the Finest range. They're quite salty and greasy tasting and that put me off a bit because even though they don't feel oily to the touch there's a definite taste of oil underneath the ham flavour. My sons school is aiming for a Gold Star in its Eco status and so regularly hold environmental weeks where they try to reduce their waste as much as possible; especially lunch box waste, so a recent tip that came home with him one day was for parents to buy share sized bags of crisps and put them in a reusable container, rather than buy multi packs of crisps which create a lot more waste. This is how I came across Tesco's Finest Honey Roast Ham flavour hand cooked crisps. The crisp packet is stiffer than your average bag, and it has an attractive simple design which is in keeping with the Tescos Finest range. The bag can be quite hard to open, and you ...  Read the complete review

Following on from a review by I Am Joy again ( I promise, i'm not following you!) I read about these Crisps and decided to buy them yesterday when I was in Tesco. See, that is the power of Dooyoo. Read about a product, and then go out and buy it yourself! These Crisps are from the Tesco Finest range. They are the premium brand of the shop's own brand, and you always pay more for the Premium selection than the standard brand. It's not necessary to say it is better, but some of the range seem a cut above. One of my favourite Crisp flavours is Honey Roast Ham, and i've tried differents shop's version of this. The size of the bag was 100g and cost ...  Read the complete review

When I went to visit my younger daughter at the weekend we decided to nip to Tesco and buy a few bits and pieces for a BBQ, as usual we bought far more than we needed and ended up branching out from the BBQ idea and having nibbles too. I was looking for Sensations crisps but there were no flavours we fancied so I ended up buying a large bag of Tesco Finest crisps. The flavour we opted for in the end was Honey Roast Ham and they were absolutely delicious, I am usually a Walkers or McCoys person so wasn't sure how a supermarket brand would fare but I'm so glad I bought them as they are sure to become a firm favourite. For a start the crisps are quite ...  Read the complete review

I have found that some of the crisps I usually buy like Pringles and Walkers Sensations have started gto creep up in price and now I only buy them when they are on special offer and so I have been looking for some altenatives and at £1.05 for a 100g bag the Tesco finest range seemed like an option. I have found the quality to be a bit variable with the different flavours however the one that is the best by a long way ae the Honey Roast Ham flavour, now normally I have not been a big fan of bacon crisps and I bought these mainly for the other half but I found them to be quite tasty and nice and crunchy as well and out of the whole range they are the ones I will ...  Read the complete review
