... buy it so I'm going to wait for some special offers on these to stock up because it's such a nice curry. The sauce is creamy and there are loads of juicy prawns and tons of rice to soak the thick sauce up with. I thought the prawns were wicked because usually in curries like this you only get a few and they're always them small ones but these are proper king prawn size and taste dead fresh. THis one was a bit milder than the one I had in the curry house last month but it was still quite spicy and I could taste that i...more

I got this reduced in Tesco because it was only £1.79 instead of over £3.00 and it looked nice so I got it for my tea last night. I'm not mad keen for curry but have had biryani before and know I like it because it's not too hot and this one was nicer than I thought it would be. I did mine in the microwave because curries always cook good in them but you can cook it in the oven as well. You can freeze it as well as long as you freeze it on the same day as you buy it so I'm going to wait for some special offers on these to stock up because it's such a nice curry. I bought the Southern Indian prawn Biryani today from Tesco's which is part of their finest range. It was reduced from £3.98 to £2.59 as its use by date was today so I thought it was an ideal purchase for tea. Each pack contains 500g The finest range is designed to be higher quality products. I followed the instructions to microwave which for a 750w oven you need to piece film and then cook for six and a half minutes.\it can also be cooked in the oven for 20-25 minutes and can also be frozen. I let it stand for a couple of minutes then served it into a dish a sit was streaming hot I left it in the kitchen for a couple of minutes to ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Tesco 'Finest' King Prawn Biryani: A lovely home made biryani....not quite! (676 words)

When it comes to prawn dishes I simply love them as a rule! Not being much of a cook when I saw this in Tesco I couldn't resist trying it out! I love curry/spicy dishes so this really did appeal to me and my taste-buds! The Packaging.... The meal comes in a black plastic, fairly deep and big square tray with a plastic cellophane, see-through lid to the top of it. Over that there is a cardboard 'sleeve' and on the front there is a picture of the biryani and under that in silver, pink and black writing I'm told it's Tesco 'Finest' Southern Indian Prawn Biryani which is 'Saffron scented rice layered with succulent king prawns in a creamy sauce, ...  Read the complete review

Well priced, not a horrible taste Texture, condition, herbiness

Great mix, easy to make, minimal extra ingredients required. High in fat.

Mini sized Not very tasty

It's as good as any other tinned mackerel! If you don't like tinned fish you probably won't like it!

Delish; Good quality prawns; Yummy filo pastry; Mega cheap They might burn your mouth if you eat them too quick!

Tastes great, very healthy Poor packaging, maybe too much tomato juice for some?
