... Finest one from the chilled section. A paid just £1 for a 310g tub. The tub is made of clear plastic so you can see the potato salad inside. The potatoes are baby new potatoes making the salad chunky and delicious looking. The taste is pretty good, the mayonnaise is creamy and the dish is well seasoned. There is a good spring onion flavour through the potato salad too. The potatoes were okay but a couple of them seemed a little bit hard which was a shame. This potato salad was okay, but nowhere near as nice as h...more

Tesco Finest Potato Salad Description: Manufacturer: Tesco / Type: Salad. For the last few days, we seems to have had the most gorgeous weather! The sun is shining, there is a gentle breeze and everywhere you look, there are flowers, greenery and signs of spring and approaching summer. That can only mean one thing of course, it is time to dig out the barbecue and stock up on burgers! Over the weekend, we had our first barbecue of the year. Of course, there are the usual burgers, chicken and sausages but it is great to have a selection of fresh salads, tasty breads and side dishes such as potato salad. Ideally, I would make my ...  Read the complete review

Summer is on it's way and it is time to start eating salads out in the garden, I love having some potato salad with this, and have always found supermarket varieties to be very bland and nothing like home made stuff. When looking in Tesco i noticed they do a finest version potato salad, priced at only £1 for a 310gram tub it seemed fairly reasonable. This came in a clear plastic tub, with tesco finest black banner along the top, underneath this was a grey background with Potato salad written on it, there was also a bit of a description. Further down was the nutritional information section & best before date. To open the pack is very easy, just ...  Read the complete review

I was going to make my own potato salad for our bonfire night tea but I left it a bit late when I went shopping so dished out some that we'd already got in the fridge. I love Tesco Finest Potato Salad because it's whole baby potatoes and they are a lot firmer than other shop brought potato salad but without being hard. The potatoes taste lovely and fresh and the mayo dressing goes wicked with them. It's smooth and very creamy tasting, you can taste the spring onions in the potato salad and they also taste very fresh. The dressing is gorgeous, there's loads of it in the pot compared to the potatoes but I don't mind that because it's so ...  Read the complete review

I am very fond of potato salad and I usually make my own as most bought potato salad are far too 'mushy' for my taste . . . I like my potatoes nice and firm. I happened to come across a new potato salad made by Tesco and it filled me with delight. What makes this potato salad unique is that it consists of whole baby potatoes covered in a creamy mayonnaise made with soft cheese and single cream. Added to this lovely flavour is freshly cut spring onions . . . delicious. As the potatoes are whole they don't have the opportunity to become a mushy mess! The packaging is stylish as it forms part of the Tesco Finest range. It consists of a square clear ...  Read the complete review
