Tesco Finest Potato Salad

For the last few days, we seems to have had the most gorgeous weather! The sun is shining, there is a gentle breeze and everywhere you look, there are flowers, greenery and signs of spring and approaching summer. That can only mean one thing of course, it is time to dig out the barbecue and stock up on burgers!

Over the weekend, we had our first barbecue of the year. Of course, there are the usual burgers, chicken and sausages but it is great to have a selection of fresh salads, tasty breads and side dishes such as potato salad. Ideally, I would make my own but we just didn't have time this weekend so when shopping in Tesco, picked up a couple of tubs of their Finest one from the chilled section.

A paid just £1 for a 310g tub. The tub is made of clear plastic so you can see the potato salad inside. The potatoes are baby new potatoes making the salad chunky and delicious looking.

The taste is pretty good, the mayonnaise is creamy and the dish is well seasoned. There is a good spring onion flavour through the potato salad too. The potatoes were okay but a couple of them seemed a little bit hard which was a shame.

This potato salad was okay, but nowhere near as nice as home made. It was creamier than most shop bought versions and the taste was enjoyable but because some of the potatoes were hard, this spoiled it a little for me. For people in a hurry, this potato salad is an okay buy but if you have the time, make your own!
